Hi Amanda! It has been quite a while since I've tuned in live. This should be fun. Sorry about the deer; I didn't get the memo.

I thought it went without saying that deer are welcome in this cat-and-dog-friendly environment! Hi guys!

Pleased to be in the live listening audience for a change. My standing Weds at Noon appointment is cancelled for the week.

A Records remake? I thought no one caed these days. Yay to Dr. Janet!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm
Amanda:

Well -- at least, they cared back in 1990.

I've had Starry Eyes in my head since last weeks show. Constantly! Top notch pop song!

Yo La Tengo covered the Records song on their all-request show during the marathon.

Carmichael- I was there! efd & Gaylord tried to get Amanda on mic to sing along, but no dice. Then it medleyed into Eddie & the Hot Rods' "Do Anything You Wanna Do".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Amanda:

Ira K was in Dr. Janet, which is probably why they knew it... but I think it isn't him singing on the track, which is why they asked Evan and Gaylord to sing it!
Avatar 12:29pm
Carmichael:

@Matt: That's right it was EFD's show. I recall it being late in the evening, and I had imbibed a bit. I thought it was great fun, though there was some fumbling of the lyrics, by myself as well, as I was trying to sing along.

Amanda, this song reminds me a bit of the Spanic Boys. If you haven't heard them, they're great jangly rockabilly, and also poppy and a bit slick.

Yeah! Radical Wednesdays to all! @nanantatee, no I have never been there! And like many Simpsons freaks, I'm sufficiently antisocial that I've never even heard of it. But it sounds like something I'd LOVE.

Gotta run for a quick meet-up with a trainer who operates in my work bldg. Have always been gym-/exercise-phobic, but finding that something's gotta give (e.g., the waistband of my pants). Thinking I can handle it, given the proximity. Back soon, no doubt.

One of my favorite Agnes/Skinner interactions:

Marge: I got a report on a domestic disturbance at this address.
Skinner: Yes, indeed there is. There’s an inflatable bath pillow that Mother and I both enjoy. She claimed it was her day to use it, I maintained she was mistaken, we quarrelled. Later, as I prepared to bathe, I noticed to my horror that someone had slashed the pillow.
Marge: Uh-huh. Who called the police?
Skinner and Agnes: We both did.
Marge: Look, why don’t you two settle down? I’m sure you can get another pillow.
Skinner: Well, I could send it back to Taiwan for repair, but why should I have to? I’ve done nothing wrong. And I don’t give permission for my face to be on TV. I want it blurred!
[Skinner's face becomes pixellated]

listening to a Chip Taylor interview:

. . . . telling the hard-luck story of Evie Sands' hit "Angel of the Morning" selling out its 10,000 pressing, but Cameo Parkway Record's bankruptcy ceased further production
  6:40am
I Can't Let Go:

A commenter disputed, yet Cameo pressed 30 records after halting "Angel." Evie's "Rodeo" from Record Day 2017 might be worth considering for FMU debut
  11:06am
nevermind:

Matt from Springfield already posted Evie Sand's hard luck "Angel of the Morning" story , 8-1-2012
