Hi Jonathan and everyone. Working another late shift.
  3:08am
P-90:

@ mariano: You and me both.
May I ask where you're at, geography-wise?

Steve:

Hey Jon , morning all

@P-90: NYC, so it's 3am for me now. How about you, and what sort of work are you in?

P-90:

NYC too, so we're both just across the river from DJ Jonathan in Jersey City. I'm on the Columbia campus trying to finish a research report about some endangered North American mollusks. Not my specialty, it's boring the hell out of me.
  3:13am
P-90:

Howdy, Dj Jonathan!
Looking forward to some adult entertainment

Hey there P 90 the hudson used to be filled with oysters but its to polluted to eat them now I guess right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17am
mariano:

@P-90: Well, being in Brooklyn, I'm across two rivers from our esteemed DJ, should have been more clear. I'm doing a graphic design project for a liquor company, got a late start because of a friend's birthday.
  3:19am
coalhard:

I like the bivalves on that horn your playing on air
  3:19am
P-90:

The Hudson is MUCH less polluted than it used to be, but I personally wouldn't actually eat any part of it.

@ mariano: Which liquor company?! Your secret's safe with us
  3:20am
P-90:

@ coalhard: ouch
  3:21am
coalhard:

hehe !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22am
mariano:

@P-90, actually, it's a brand of Irish whiskey I've never heard of called Paddy. What a name, huh? Did a huge project for Cuervo not long ago, and they pay top dollar and give bottles away like it's nothing. This one's not quite as cushy, but oh well.
  3:22am
P-90:

@ mariano: print ads? point-of-purchase goodies?
the label for a new brand of booze?
  3:23am
P-90:

NOW I remember you were telling us about working for Cuervo. Glad to hear they were generous with the samples
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am
mariano:

@P-90: Nothing so glamorous, unfortunately: it's an internal InDesign doc that has to be brought into line with the branding standards, plus it has a lot of low-res imagery that needs to be swapped out. Tedious, but pays the bills.
  3:25am
P-90:

Cambodian Batman theme?
  3:26am
P-90:

@ mariano: so like you were given a "rough", which you are polishing?
  3:28am
coalhard:

Here in west Virginia we have something called GREEN GODDAMN--you take bunch moonshine with oz. chopped kale- then someone throws a lime in your face !
  3:30am
P-90:

I've actually heard of Paddy. Word is out it's this new brand that's about to roll out. The battle for "shelf space" in the liquor biz is brutal, either you break your product into the market or you just wilt on the vine
  3:33am
P-90:

Wiki says Paddy's been imported since 2010, but i know I read somewhere there's a big push for visibility coming, or in progress
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am
mariano:

@P-90: Yeah, pretty much. It's cosmetic surgery, basically. Without the years of medical training, of course. Didn't know Paddy was about to be big, but that's good to know, maybe they'll throw me more work! Which mollusk are you working on? Whiskey and mollusks are a great combo!
  3:34am
coalhard:

We should do a commercial together
  3:38am
coalhard:

Also you can take my idea's and bandy them about I don't care
  3:40am
coalhard:

Did you know there are green mollusks ?
  3:42am
P-90:

Paddy's getting some good reviews. Of course, reading about it is making me crave whiskey.
Paddy won the silver medal at The Irish Whiskey Masters 2013. Master of malt gives it 4 out of 5 stars. of course, they're a wholesaler, so..
  3:43am
P-90:

@coalhard: this is gonna be another hideous pun, right?
  3:44am
coalhard:

there is a mollusk in New Zealand called the green lipped mollusk maybe you have heard of it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44am
mariano:

@coalhard: Never heard of GG, gotta give it a try.
@P-90: I'm actually on the wagon right now for a month or two, something I do a couple of times a year to give my liver a vacation, but Irish is my default drink, so I'll have to give Paddy a try.
