D-Day. Its the media jumping bandwagons - who knows or cares for their agendas!?

Back then so many people on all sides were conscripted into a fight they didn't want but they went anyway.

The Nazi regime as all know was characterised by a brutality alas not unprecedented in history. Like all tyrannies it did not proceed tolerated. I just remember the people like you and me who stumped up and got on with it. Some say their like will not be known again but I know different - i just hope that it will not be necessary. I hope that we do learn from it because war is so abhorrent.

The media relish in it because it gives good copy. I truly believe that so much of the world media represent a view not consistent with the majority of us who are just trying to get by.

These conservative agendas have more in common with Hitler than us and they repeatedly spoon feed us their inarticulate drivel. D-Day today, Ukraine yesterday, war on terror tomorrow - to the media it is just copy. We must stop allowing our world and wants and desires to be viewed through their filter.

Yes MTO I agree whole heartedly, the glamor of war as portrayed in the media is an abomination, and no war gets the glamor treatment like ww2
Avatar 🎙 5:02am
Simon P:

@mto- we have endless glorification of war, like you say it's good copy and keeps the fear factor high. And who's defining 'patriotism' anyway?
