You could play Rob Reddy. Or not.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm
Jeff Golick:

But I'm not very organized.

Hey, Doug. Reddy did come to mind, though he's not on the shortlist.

Dean:

Love Malevich.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm
Jeff Golick:

Hello there, Dean. Me, too. I count the Malevich retrospective at MoMA that I saw in the 1990s among the greatest museum-experiences of my life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Jeff Golick:

* museum-going experiences...

Hello Jeff.
All this and Ecclesiastes too, sorry three. Look forward to Wednesday.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:24pm
Brian in UK:

There is a brief Egon Schiele exhibition opened up just now over here. Looking forward to that. He still has the power to 'shock' if that is the right word, one hundred years later.
  12:24pm
Dean:

In my last full year of college I took a course in the art of the Russian avant-garde. That summer the Los Angeles County Art Museum staged a huge exhibition featuring, inter alia, Malevich, Kandinsky, Tatlin. Mind blowing. I think of it to this day, 34 years later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm
Jeff Golick:

Hey, Brian. Good afternoon to you! Is it almost 17:30 or 16:30 by you now...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm
Jeff Golick:

Sounds amazing, Dean.

More recently, LACMoA staged a Hannah Höch exhibition. Also stunning.

Your elections backlash seems to be even more hard than the one that happened here. Here at least the (more) reasonable option managed to win for the next presidential term, so to mitigate the losses on the other political levels
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm
Jeff Golick:

Howdy, doca. It's a mess.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Brian in UK:

My road to Damascus was more quotidien. At the Courtauld Gallery looking at one of Monet's many studies at Antibes. The ceiling had glass around the edges. As I looked at the painting, the sun came out and illuminated it. I was transfixed.
The gallery has moved to a new site and they do not know where to place it now. it is in a different site every time. That is when it is not on loan. Hey.

The last time these guys had control of both houses of congress, they impeached the president. They haven't gotten smarter, only meaner.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:42pm
Brian in UK:

@doca it was a close call in your elections.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:44pm
Brian in UK:

We have elections next year.
Sun Ra beam me up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm
Jeff Golick:

@doca - pls forgive my ignorance, but you are where?
  12:47pm
Dean:

Nothing quotidian about a sunrise over a Monet.
  12:47pm
Dean:

Except the sunrise, I suppose.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Jeff Golick:

The waveform for the start of the next tune is just a giant block of sound.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:52pm

Got to cut and run soon. Going to see Sam Baker, all the way from Texas.
  12:55pm
doca:

Sorry, guys, was reading here.
@Brian: yeah they were close and now we seem to have our own tea party. It sucks.
@Jeff: in Brazil.

@Jeff: "giant block of sound" serves to redefine the meaning of sonic sculpture eheh
