Hi, Irene! Purty photo and music. I took a photo almost exactly like that one, from a balcony in the West Village back in July. :-)

Likewise Santos! I couldn't catch Irene live at work, so while this is a great opportunity for me, I still feel a bit sad she's not on Mondays anymore--Irene is SO VERY GOOD for the soul on days like that.

Speaking of which: Sean in Bristol UK! Hope you can still catch these in Archive--we have not forgotten you!

- zactly; timeslot not during Werk for me, nice - but a four-way conflict w/ IrishTrad @ the Local, WWOZ, Jesse on the GTDR stream - but I'm Irene-deprived so I'll stay right here & listen - either @ keyboard or horizontal in the dark...Thx for sharing Robyn & kittie pics! Hey Matt! Nyro even a Proto-Goth in personal style - & now there's PianoPop singersongwriter ladies all over - ahead of her time er whut...

Welcome, Irene! I don't know about you, but in my two-bit opinion, this timeslot is a great fit for your show. This is a very cool move.

@Matt, it's just like French onion soup, but w/ jalapnenos and poblanos, a little cumin, flour, oh, onions, and jack or oaxaca cheese at the end w/ a twist of lime and cilantro. I put in some potatoes to beef it up a bit.
Avatar 11:45pm

That's true Jake. And cumin certainly adds a Mexican/ethnic veneer into most foods--good guess Tommy!

FWIW—and it is no disrespect to cooking—but it basically comes down to seasoning, spices and sometimes the oil. The core ingredients could be almost anything in the world but you can make pretty much anything taste… “Ethnic” if you know how to balance the spices, seasoning and oil.

I've come back to listen to the show again just to get to their song again to help decide my Saturday night possibilities...
