Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

@Mike: Awww! I fondly remember my easy-bake oven with a light bulb as an energy source. The link I first posted up top here has a pic of me a bit older than Lucy (and probably already using my easy-bake ;).

In his autobiography Donovan explained that the phrase "electrical banana" was a reference to a yellow-coloured vibrator." (from Wikipedia)

In Spring '92 I went to some small club and saw Albert Collins -- I THINK, that's right and not Albert King (I know, for shame on me, but I have a good excuse for back at that dark time). Wanted to remember for sure so I could tell the local Kentuckiana Blues Society prez about it without some obvious inaccuracy.

Speaking of Chicago in March, I'll be there this year at the end of the month (23 years to the day, in fact, that King played). Any recommendations for good clubs along the lines of Empty Bottle?
