Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from January 23, 2015 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

@still b/p: If I get word of the consequences, I shall! As to finding out, I recognized the name of a geneticist but wanted to specify his national origin; the author listed "Asian American," but I wanted to list the actual Asian country (so far as it's pertinent to the text, which is a whole other query I've added). I Googled; the Wikipedia snippet that came up as a preview read VERY familiar, I scanned vs. my MS, and boom: barely rewritten. So, in CSI: Miami terms:

(•_•) It seems

There was a connection between Feelgood and The Hot Rods, though. What I heard was that one of the major points of contention between Wilko and Lee was Wilko's desire to include his buddy, one-time Hot Rod Lew Lewis, in the Feelgoods. Lew being a harmonica player, this did not go down well with Lee.

...and by sing along, I don't mean I know portuguese, though I did do an english translation acoustic version of it many years ago when I was obsessed with it. I mostly just sing along with the backup vocals...and the guitar.

Hi UM. The upside of my kids being home sick is i got to cut out of work early to hang w/them and catch all of HDT live!

Speaking of being grateful (you@2:30), you planning on being in Chicago early July?

My "need more" take-aways today: Sahara Cellphones and Shirley Bassey. Shirley's one of those artists whom, for years, I've been meaning to appreciate more directly, instead of just by happenstance.
