Hiya!

My introduction to that Gordon Lightfoot song was via Barbra Streisand covering it on her album "Stoney End."

Watching the storms south of D/FW, Texas: can't help but feel really bad for Johnson Co. right now-it's been a really rough night for them so far, with at least *one* strong, damaging tornado having caused significant damage south of Cleburne, TX. And what really sucks? A similar tornado caused a lot of damage on 5/15/13-just under two years ago. =(

tell 'em: "i'll see you again, maybe by accident?"
Avatar 12:33am
BadGuyZero:

@Steve-O: I fired up my scanner tonight for the first time this year so I could monitor what the storm spotters were saying. A few hours ago it looked like Dallas was going to get some of the red stuff. Right now it's nothing but a lot of thunder.

You could have played Neil COVERING Gordon, Therese.

Hey Therese! Checking in quickly to thank you for the Mr. Do tip at Barcade. Went there this past Saturday, and I was the only other person to get their initials up on the high score list. Me (JAK) and some other guy named "VAS." Only two people in the area care about Mr. Do. I do! And that VAS whoever they are.

Been having a fair number of Windows related computer issues lately.....anyone else have their computer freeze on them? It's happened *twice* tonight. Within 40 minutes of one another. =(
Avatar 1:02am
BadGuyZero:

@Steve-O: That used to happen with my old laptop. I rebooted and restored from a previous backup. I disabled automatic Windows updates as there had been a glitch in an update that was causing the freezing problem.
  1:06am
Steve-O:

@BGZ: Thanks. I do believe I may have had a System Restore point done recently, so I'll try to look into it soon. =)

Black metals!
Avatar 1:08am
BadGuyZero:

Someone from Dethklok would have said "black metals."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11am
Tome:

according to here > bit.ly... < of the pure elements only boron and carbon are black but non metals ..
Avatar 1:13am
BadGuyZero:

If black metal were a metal I think it would be either yttrium or cobalt. Ytrrium sounds like the name of a black metal band. There was a black metal band named Cobalt [I'm uncertain whether or not they're still active; I hope 'cause they were good].

Hey! Tuning in a little late here... I used to work with a guy who's girlfriend was a Dominatrix. She would get paid to do stuff like go out to a fancy restaurant with some dude, get into a huge fight, throw food all over him and walk out.

Hi, Therese. Hi, late nighters.
  2:50am
Steve-O:

Yeah. growing up in the mid-late '90s(born in 1990), we didn't have anything more than basic TV until 1997 or so, and it was pretty basic for a while.....but Cartoon Network(and Boomerang!) and Nickelodeon where just all that I needed to be entertained, pretty much(as well as some decent stuff on the normal channels). =)

P-90:

Lost pages?! Huh?
Avatar 2:54am
BadGuyZero:

In the mid-80s, one of the TV stations in the DFW metromess partnered with a top 40 station to air a music video show late at night on Fridays. The radio station simulcast the audio so you could hear the songs in stereo while watching their accompanying videos.
