But are you lying?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42am

Jazz is cool...all I have to do is put on some Albert Ayler on and my wife will leave the room
Avatar 8:42am

Is Monty Hall accessible by public transportation? I live in Williamsburg.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Of course. Jazz is rich & bottomless. Trane & Monk are Home as much as Hendrix & The Beatles. In a way - Historically - it's all Jazz...a small word put in service of doing - too much, really...
& oh yeah!: It's very often quite useful for scaring the crap out of white people! True....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am
Nate K.:

Duke, you'll never know for sure!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am
Nate K.:

@DonJuan, take my wife...please.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am

Howard, it's right off the Exchange Place PATH. Very easy to get to from NYC.

To people who can't get to Jazz - I say it's just Blues for people who play too well. It ain't Math like you have to 'get it' - it's just Music...But I think stuff either works for your nervous system or it doesn't...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am
Nate K.:

@RevoRabbit, completely agree. It's all jazz; it's all rock 'n' roll. Or something like that...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53am
fred:

Putting labels like Jazz or Rock is such a waste of time for me. It's music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yeah. On the other hand (& there's always another hand) - Jazz is kind of Classical AfricanAmerican Music, & they expect you to dress nice & have some Respect - & you can never know enuff about it...
Avatar 8:55am
Howard F:

One of my friends at work recently told me he didn't like jazz, so I told him you're not listening to the right stuff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am
fred:

@RevRab: If they care about how you dress more than whether your listen, they're wrong
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am
fred:

@Howard F: exactly what I say to people who don't like whisky! (drinking instead of listening, though)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Free Jazz as an Imperative. But I can see the Respect thing - & they *do* appreciate when you listen, in my experience. I've had Jazz Giants tell me that - & crap local RawkBands be all attitude.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:01am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Thx NateK !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34am
Andrew Waterloo:

Saying you don't like Jazz is like saying you don't like non-fiction.
