@carmichael my 15 year old car and its stock radio is pre Bluetooth and pre aux so a few years back i wired in an FM modulator that overrides the antenna to play prom any device. Now i open the ash tray and flip a red toggle switch . Instead of something James Bond like happening, it plays FMU (which is mostly always) and I tell my passenger NEVER EVER touch the red switch or they will be ejected (one way or another).

@Brendan: Nice! Slight tangent but I was rewatching "The Empire Strikes Back" and noticed something. When Luke is in his X-Wing and talking to R2-D2 just to the left of his computer display there is an AM/FM car radio with cassette deck on it's side. So maybe he had Bluetooth too.
