I'll be honest, Tribe was one of the groups I was a little late to the party on to getting into/ one of the NYC groups I knew the least about for the longest of times. Nonetheless, enhanced my palette for the better.

Also I fucking love the sampled Baby Huey Change is Gonna Come cover.

on UK radio they only ever played the Boiler Room rmx of "Can I Kick It" (Fatboy Slim iirc) so it was really disorienting when i heard the original

honestly i don't listen to that much of it... a lot of people speak highly of 6 Music, which is freeform-ish but in practice seems to be mostly indie rock. late-night Radio 1 used to be amazing, perhaps still is sometimes. "Mixing It" on Radio 3 is a great out-there little show, and a bunch of other R3 can be good too depending on your tolerance for heavy classical.
