  10:44pm
mark Flynnn:

I saw Laurie twice in the early 90's. At the time he was most famous for being in Jarmusch films.

I've seen many great sax players live, including Pharoah Sanders, and I consider Lurie one of the best ever.

I think the show was on ESPN in its early days. I did watch part of an episode. At the time it was a show on a network trying to find its voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46pm
Andrew Waterloo:

There was only 6 or 8 episodes. It was put on out Criterion.
  10:46pm

@scraps: you may be speaking of instrumental choices. Or instrument choices. "Why are you using a sleigh bell here?" "Why not?"

For the one with Jim Jarmusch they caught a lot but every time they reeled one in the camera crew were losing their lunch over the side of the boat.

I guess I was interpreting why I love Wilson. Odd choices of instruments, sudden key changes, multiple harmony mood swings ...
  11:03pm
JakeGould:

@redkayak: Men have problems just hanging out together, so we need to either get drunk, kill something or somehow watch someone else kill something to hang out…
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03pm

Anyway, fishing around here is dismal. Polluted water, too many people. It's why we invade Wisconsin periodically :)

@redkayak: Ha! That is exactly where I learned about the “joy” of ice fishing.
