*Where's the fire, Danger?"
"In your eyes, Lieutenant."
Fire at will, Nate. Good morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11am
Nate K.:

Morning, Sem. Flames are flickering.

DonJuanTijuana:

Morning Nate & all the pyromongers out there!
  6:29am
Fredericks:

Los Sirex related to the Tropicalia movement?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31am
Nate K.:

Hi, folks. I have a facsinating, sprawling interview with Terry Allen later in the set. (Don't worry, if you're not familiar, I'll get you up to speed.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32am
Nate K.:

@Fredericks, they're from Spain, so no, not that I'm aware of.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33am
fred:

Good morning Nate and pyromaniacs

Also, just a reminder, the fall fundraiser is still plugging along. We're only at 38 percent with about a week to go. So if you find any spare change under the cushions, we would be more than thrilled if you sent a little our way. Help keep the lights on. Much love, always.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am
Sem Chumbo:

Nate, did you mention there were some B.i.D. t-shirts available w/ a pledge to your show last week? Asking for a friend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am
fred:

The T-shirt is indeed great: wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51am
Sem Chumbo:

Thank you, fred.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51am
fred:

Coincidentally, I ironed it within this hour
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am
Nate K.:

Thanks, Sem. Yes! If you pledge at the DJ premium level you can still get the official Burn It Down! t-shirt designed by Natalie from NOTS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55am
fred:

@Sem: I'm only a hundred pages into it, but I'm enjoying Strong Motion so far. A little smug at times, but the style remains interesting most of the time, so thanks for the recommendation. The Boston setting keeps reminding me of Infinite Jest, which is unfair (I love this book)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02am
Sem Chumbo:

@fred: waited 20 years to read Infinite Jest, about to embark on a third reading this year. Footnotes make for an unusual experience.
Only thing of his I'd read previously was Consider the Lobster. Hilarious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am
Nate K.:

I remember really enjoying DFW's story collection The Girl with the Curious Hair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am
fred:

@Sem: His articles were more like short stories, and really show his sense of humor. My faves are the one on the cruise and the one where he delivers a self-portrait as David Lynch.
The footnotes are crucial. And whether to follow the footnote to footnote path can change your experience

Hey Glenn, if you're out there thanks again, sir, and for helping me out with the bands.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29am
Nate K.:

Hey @Cory, we've all been there. I'll keep playing the jams if that helps.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29am
Nate K.:

@Duke, thanks for dropping by.

cory:

@nate it does help!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47am

Too bad I'll miss the interview, but I have to run. The medical marathon is done, here comes the paperwork one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am
Sem Chumbo:

Later, fred!
  7:53am
cory:

thanks for the twitty
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:05am

No worries, Fred! Thanks as always.

These Terry Allen songs are off the charts! Where have I been? Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am
Sem Chumbo:

This interview is just another reason to support free form radio. Great morning, Nate, thanks very much. See you next time.
