Sorry to go off-topic, but I sure hope Dan B from Upstate was joking about Night People getting the Mon.-Fri. 6-9 a.m. slot. That would almost be my worst nightmare.

i don't think the morning slot is decided yet.

Right, that was probably some kind of joke (although to me it's about as funny as lung cancer, as are the NP). I've heard there'll be tryouts/test shows. Maybe NP is participating in that.

1.5 billion people on Earth identify as Muslim.
Most of the victims of Terrorism - are Muslims. A prominent example for Music Fans here is in North Africa where one culture is a prime focus of World Music, & the invading sect prohibits Music & destroys their ancient memorials.
My understanding is the word 'Islam' means 'Surrender'. For most - this is interpreted as modesty, morality, honor, & service. In other words, most Societies' highest, most respected, & desired civic values. To a few, it is interpreted as fanatical adherence to dogmatic principles & rules that proscribe condemnation of unbelievers. As the Dalai Lama made explicit - Terrorism & high Religion are incompatible & antithetical to each other. It is illegitimate to claim you are on God's side to commit Terrorism.

The book 'Dancing in the Streets' by Barbara Ehrenreich is about the history of Collective Celebration or 'Festival'. It contains an excellent deep pocket history of how Conservative, Moralistic, & Militaristic elements took over much of Islam - just as they did Christianity. These elements were usually Imperialistic (Warlike Government forces). That is - there are different strains & elements in the Histories of these major Religions (Christianity as well as Islam).

Those who self-identify as 'Muslim' may range from ecstatic Whirling Dervishes to Daesh. Those who self-identify as Christian have ranged from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - to the KKK.
Here in the United States of America - the very 1st Amendment of the Constitution guarantees that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.'

we will have to have real, physical support from allies for our own safety going forward. what you do if you see someone under threat is step up to join them. start talking to them. end their isolation. forget about the harrasser. close them out.

Avatar 7:53pm

don't engage the harrasser. shut them out.
Avatar 7:54pm

join the person under threat. stand with them. talk to them. be with them. talk about anything. doesn't matter. you don't engage the violent person.
