January 11, 2017: Puppetmaster Cleo Controls Ken
Andy shares the show with Cleo, a ten year old girl (whose hobbies include eating pizza, running bases, and spying on classmates during recess). The twist is that Ken channels Cleo’s voice through his own; Cleo is down the hall, everything she says is sent to Ken, and Ken echoes everything she says (and nothing else). Cleo rates the strangeness of it all as a 9.5 out of 10, which seems about right. The topic is set to be co-ed schools. Only children are invited to call in, and the team fields calls from nearly ten kids! Notable calls include the irrepressible Alex (sporting a Russian accent), and a prank call from Evan Breckman (in character as “Stacy Rosenthal”). At some point the discussion morphs from co-ed schools into the merits of school uniforms. Cleo is dead set against this, but Andy ain't hearing it! During the hour, lots of singing takes place – Andy sings “The Star Spangled Banner” and “Eight Days a Week”, and Ken sings “Ring Around the Rosey” and “Happy Birthday.” Cleo reveals that she has never heard of “Monk,” but loves “Murder She Wrote”. Also, Andy tries to arrange two marriages for Cleo, but without much luck.
