Do youse folks know about machine-y things? I am not skilled in the industrial arts, but I managed to put my new AC into the window. The old one died after only 2 yrs. There's an overhang on my bldg. & when it rains, lots of water can pour down. Does my AC need a... hat? Or something? To cover its top vent? Is lots of water going in there, uh, bad?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm

One of my A/C window units is 15 years old and still works and is open to the elements. It does need a about 5 degrees of tilt so any condensation will drip out, but rain shouldn't be a problem.
