Hi y'all! Though I don't prefer the old FMU home page overall, it DID offer much better up-front awareness of what was happening live on alt. streams at any given time. If a live show was playing, it showed up automatically, "clicklessly".
Avatar 12:44pm
Mary Wing:

Hey there, Ike--get your passport stuff all sorted out?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm

@Ike -- I started reading Reincarnation Blues -- not very far in, but so far so good. I like its sensibility.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm

freeform.wfmu.org

you can still get the old home page, I have it in my favorites, use it sometimes, it is still connected.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm

cool, @doctorjazz
Avatar 12:47pm
Ike:

@doctorjazz, oh yeah, I know, but anybody who knows about that probably also already knows the GTDR schedule and thus doesn't need it. Ha. @Mary, I did the photo myself and I think it's good. Now I just have to remember to mail the whole shebang out. That's one of the hardest parts, because... uh... what was I talking about? Where am I?
Avatar 12:52pm
Mary Wing:

Do you have a trip planned, or is it going to expire sooon?
Avatar 12:56pm
Carmichael:

Don't ever let your passport expire, not with this current administration ...

And I travel on an Irish passport, so freak terrorists will not be focusing on me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm
doctorjazz:

@Ike, don't use it much myself. Mostly it helps when someone is out and there is a fill in for the day, easy to find who it is (pain to find otherwise). Being on the mailing list is good for that as well.
Avatar 12:59pm
ⓘⓚⓔ:

Already expired a few months ago. US. No trip planned just yet. Gotta use 2 weeks by end of year. Still seized by anxious indecision about where to go. I know, good problem to have, so why's it making me feel like I'm in a vise?

drjazz Thank you. how would i've known i could still use the former, much more user-that-is-here-for-the-music friendly home page.

Hello Mary and all - enjoy much of the first set, thanks!

And thanks Doctorjazz for the link - I was just telling a friend how much I missed the old page!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm
coelacanth∅:

i don't like the many more clicks needed to navigate the present home page; but i've gotten used to it (as we are always expected to do). my primary problem with it now is that there's so much crap and self-hype that it slows down my old computers; and there's no "reader view" available to bypass all the crap.
Avatar 1:18pm
Mary Wing:

I agree, I think it loads very slowly on some of my computers; a bit too much info packed into that first page and yet not what I am looking for. As coel mentioned, I'm used to it now.

(i also avoid certain shows' playlists because of all the moving gifs. sometimes it's entertaining, but it'd be better if it was done like Uncle Michael does it - where i must click the image to make it move, and click it to make it stop.)

There are some citrus trees in my neighborhood, but you have to get south of Orlando to get coconuts.

The pine cones here are giant, however they usually don't start maturing in numbers until Halloween.

Mary @2.05 i didn't dislike that Tori Amos album at the time, but i was getting bored with her at the time - after about 10 years of listening to the same 3 albums over and over...and seeing her perform well, but being blown away by Alannis Morrisette, who i didn't even care that much for prior.
