Doesn't the Shut Up, Weido program own the copyright to Creep of the Week?
  6:41pm
Paul:

They are conditioning us not to think that these things are creepy. It's insane that we buy technology that spies on us, and are happy to do so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm

Jerry Gergich was right to crush DJ Roomba in that Parks & Rec episode.

Jeff:

My watch is powered by a spring. It doesn't need any batteries, and its display doesn't get washed out in bright sunshine.

I can't change the display style or wallpaper, and it can't tell me my heartrate, but I'm actually totally fine with all of that.

My razor has a single blade which touches your face at a time. Available blades are way sharper than the blades in those multi-blade cartridges, while being way cheaper - as little as eleven cents per doublesided blade.

Both of these forms of tech are considered obsolete by some people, but I find them both functional and pleasing.

we have a nu wave oven, but it's pretty docile.

I like to "decorate" my experience online with pretty images. I go shopping for things I don't need (flowers, antiques) and then see those things haunting me for weeks. It's nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm

@steve: haha. I agree it is best used as a cat vehicle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm
Michael 98145:

the more conflicting data about yourself in those databases, the better.

Indi Young:

Recently, though, I was "decorating" with light sconces in fun shapes like gryphons, and my partner just started seeing these images in ads on the pages he was visiting at work. (buying equipment) Now he's seeing my "decorations."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm

I enjoy operating the AC from afar. I don't think the Nest has a microphone. There was a news story this weekend about Tesla sending an over the air (OTA) code update to Floridian's cars to give them extra range to flee the hurricane.

I am in the lost photographs generation. I just came across a hard drive with my honeymoon pics that were lost. But now we don't know what to do with them...buy $200 worth of frames from target and hang them up?

Ken From Hyde Park:

@mr_mikeK - You might be able to get them onto Google Drive in the cloud. I've got a shelf full of photo albums from 35mm film. I haven't thought about digitizing them as yet.
