My grandfather on my mom’s side was rounded up by the Nazi’s after the German invasion of Poland. Since the Russians—no disrespect—were really nasty to Jews at the time, my grandfather just decided to get taken away instead of fighting or hiding like he did before. His last words to his wife and 8 kids, “Eh… How bad can they be?” ANYWAY… Boo!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! PS: My first childhood crush was “Wendy the Witch” from Casper the friendly ghost. PPS: I really liked that Amos Tutuola.

My uncle was in the Polish army and fought that whole horrible first month of the German invasion, then just went “AWOL” when it was clear the Polish Army was screwed. My dad ended up in Russian Labor camps until they formed a new Polish Army and fought near the end of the war. And that’s how he my my mom: In the literal rubble of Poland. So I see good in bad shit. I see bad shit too. But good. Anyway, thank you for the show!!!
