Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from January 26, 2018 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

This Greenhorns sounds suspiciously like the ensemble that performs a bunch of "silly songs" on a CD my kids used to listen to.

Seeing WRMF at a Sam Goodys in the Smithhaven Mall in 1970 made quite the impression on my teenage mind. Probably why I'm listening now!

Fantastic. He was on a bill with Bobby Rush and Don Bryant. Package tour with the 'Take Me To The River' documentary film troupe. (trailer: www.youtube.com...) Voice is in great shape, and he remains a very energetic and hilarious performer. His mic technique is one-of-a-kind.
