But after he died, his family stood in the way of it being released. They did not want it played as pop music “…on 14th Street…” They wanted the music to be sent to universities. But everything was screwed up and the story of his grandson trying to preserve his grandfather’s history is what’s made news in recent years. This NPR piece explains it well. www.npr.org...
