I am all for jazz on Monday nights and shows evolving over time. This is what freeform is for!

I felt like the Nazario Scenario was subtly shifting in certain intriguing ways in its last months, but I can't put my finger on how. Still fascinating to listen to.

VWith Sons of Kemet, Shabaka Hutchings Brings London Jazz Into the Spotlight nyti.ms...

Review of the album in the NY Times... They are playing in the NY area in September (the instrumentation is indeed Threadgill-Ian)

KimSorise:

Ooh wow! That would be a great show to see.

Avatar 8:20pm

My garden is infested w/ copulating snails (and slugs, haven't seen them in sexy time yet). So, I'm burying small containers at ground level and filling them w/ crappy beer. They will be attracted to the sugar, fall in and drown (i hate wasting beer, even shitty beer).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
KimSorise:

That should do the trick NGH! But sorry to waste the beer - have you ever tried food grade Diatomaceous Earth? I am pretty sure it works on snails as well as most invasive crawlers
Avatar 8:28pm
TDK60:

Carlos Santana--or someone into a similar sound--on guitar
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
KimSorise:

Tisjizi Munoz on guitar - played with Sanders & Rashid Ali

The bugs will go happy, though!
Avatar 8:31pm
TDK60:

Aha, thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
coelacanth∅:

i thought about putting diatomaceous earth around my bed, since i'm regularly getting bitten by something venomous while i sleep - but it wont do me much good if they die after biting me. i need to repel them somehow.
Avatar 8:39pm
northguineahills:

Thanks for the tip, Kim (have the door open while blasting yer zounds!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
coelacanth∅:

i also need to repel something that's ripping apart my sage and other plants in my container garden. i'm thinking some kind of essential oil but i really don't know. could be chipmunks, could be birds, could be the groundhog...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
doctorjazz:

Time to get on the bike again..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
KimSorise:

Oh Jeez Coelacantho - Hope it’s not spiders.
Enjoy NGH! My Garden grows on Jazz.

evening!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm

Kim it must be -or centipedes. as a result of spreading the venom by scratching the insatiable itch right now my left hand looks like the hand of someone 100 lb heavier than i am!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm
KimSorise:

That makes me itch just thinking about it! That is terrible. Can you find where they are getting in?

Welcome, Chresti!
Avatar 8:52pm
TDK60:

DJ Kim, you emanate from Louisville?
Avatar 8:54pm
northguineahills:

I have something taking chunks out of some my tomatoes. Probably squirrels or birds. Once open, it attracts gnats and flies.

My spiders earn their keep in my garden.

yeah, if I were to drown, in beer would be on the top of my list...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54pm
KimSorise:

Born and raised in Detroit, but I have lived in Louisville for nearly 18 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54pm
chresti:

coel- lemongrass and catnip have bug repellent properties-wormwood too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm
coelacanth∅:

there are countless ways for spiders to come up from the basement. i really just need to move.
Avatar 8:55pm
northguineahills:

I have rosemary and citronella, and they do a decent job repelling some pests.
Avatar 8:56pm
northguineahills:

Eddie Gale, new to me, thanks as per usual Kim!
Avatar 8:57pm
TDK60:

Great sounds...I'll try to return..
Avatar 8:58pm
northguineahills:

When I moved back from Japan, I had a giganti blister on my abdomen. When they took a biopsy, they said, this is impossible, this venom can only be traced back to a spiders species in Japan. (mystery solved).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm
coelacanth∅:

chresti yes, i forgot about catnip. i used to grow that when i had a *real* garden. i do have it, and wormwood in capsules...and citronella oil. the rosemary plant doesn't get bit but it's not keeping every criiter away either.
Avatar 8:59pm
northguineahills:

Had to tell my neighbor to tell him to keep his dog away from my slug beer. (I cool w/ him coming into my yard as I play w/ him).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm
