@Olivia It's one of my favourite venues in London, And every Saturday afternoon there's an event called Daylight Music, where three artists play a set – different people each week. Entry is by donation and it's one of the truly great things about this city. They've had people like Laetitia Sadier, Piano Magic and Sweet Billy Pilgrim, but also a 1940s orchestra, a handbell ensemble and a show of Bond theme covers. It's marvellous.

I remember being invited to visit Generator (Gen Ken's place) once. I bought a Bulgarian folk music record, but I thought it would be more like Le Mystery des Bulgares instead of what I got! It had songs like "Luka got a new leather belt", etc.

@Wild Neil I never got to the original East Village Generator, but I went to the one in Chelsea. I was at the last show - I really wanted to adopt his "Generator" (which was some kind of automobile or tube testing device) but how to get it in my apartment was a bit of a quandry.
@Olivia I used to listen to Homebrew a lot.
