Found a nice cafe/pub at the edge of the Brondbyskoven National Forrest. Nice hiking trails, and looks almost like a wetland. If anyone is going, look it up!
where i lived for 11 years until 2 ago i heard lots of owls. i don't know enough about them to know what kinds were there or even how many different species but i did manage to record i think at least 4 species, and different calls from the same owls also.
i sure miss living there. many recordings. (& a few big regret missed recording opportunities)
"owl sun" that's right. yes, "friendly"! (even though AI cannot actually be friendly)
...i don't want to support such a thing. sorry.
my sister refers to her gps as "her" and it pisses me off! it's not a she or a her, it's an it.
...just another nail in the coffin.
I have an owl nesting across the street. Since I can't distinguish owl calls from each other (is there a shazam for bird calls?), and I can never see it, I don't know what species it is.
Great Horned owls prevail here in Wisconsin. When they land on smaller limbs, they appear to be drunk, since they have to flail about a bit to regain balance. I was surprised to see that.
@Henry you might be right, but I couldn't get past the fact that he was talking to Scarlet Johansen, not an AI construct. Of course he would fall for her.
There are these small migratory birds in NYC that are not sparrows, but look like a more cleaned up version of them. They chirp really nicely and have stripes on their heads. I like them.
Also, “Bring Home the Bagels?” Really? As a Jew, I must say anyone telling me they are the “breadwinner” because they brought home the bagels is just a schmuck.
i don't know what the first comment was. there was a really funny comment a few down (before the asshole with the briskit) but it's gone now. every time i go back to the thread it's different.
For those who care, the Q-anon loons are now believing that George Bush’s dog sleeping near his casket is a “dog whistle” that means, “Let sleeping dogs lie…” and they are now all connecting it to 9-11. I FIND THAT TO BE HILARIOUS!!!
does that mean that even though the shithead is dead they shouldn't bring on the proof that he was instrumental in the world trade center attacks because that would implicate lots of other shitheads that unfortunately haven't died yet?
hmm. i don't remember so well but i do think it was kinda a big deal - but maybe tempered by the fact that he was in a bad way for quite some time before that, so maybe it didn't surprise anyone.
I just saw video of someone lifting Bob Dole out of a wheelchair to salute the casket and it’s really creepy. It’s hard to tell how conscious Bob Dole was. Seemed like a sack of bones lifted out of a wheelchair for a photo op. So creepy and sad.
i didn't know the post office closed for bush. i was in town on sunday and today for a little while, and spoke with both my mother and my sister within the past few days, and never was bush mentioned. if it weren't for the wfmu comment board i don't know that i'd be aware that he died!
...and i have nothing against rats...it's a "separate but equal" kind of thing.
there's only extremely superficial reasons for comparing rats and pigeons though.
