Yikes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm
Uncle Michael:

I'm sad this version of Knowing Me, Knowing You didn't exist when I did my Benny & Bjorn tribute.
Avatar 10:13pm
Therese:

Yikes is right! Stay safe, Carmichael, and Uncle Michael's Brother!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14pm
Uncle Michael:

Crud...it *did* exist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm

I knew the ABBA song from an old Blancmange LP. Learn something new everyday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm
Uncle Michael:

Aitch, the Blancmange version is the version I played on that show.

Berkeley is f'ing soaked. Now, finally, calm. Rained hard for hours, though. So, up yours, Seattle!

Herod the King is a bad dude and you shouldn't report back to him?

Man, I love the liturgy.
Avatar 10:34pm

One of the good things you might not know about a terrible memory is I get to have an epiphany several times a day

(my favorite post beatles McCartney song)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36pm
coelacanth∅:

Scraps the other thing is funny jokes are worth hearing more than once
  10:37pm
Dean:

My mom, 91YO, has a failing memory. I can tell her the same joke two, three times in a row, and each time it elicits laughter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm
Uncle Michael:

Dean, have you tried just skipping to the punchline?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm
coelacanth∅:

are you sure it's not that she thinks you're the one losing it and she's laughing to humor you?!
Avatar 10:40pm
Adamsworth:

Great set tonight Therese, I am really into it!
Avatar 10:40pm
Scraps:

Even better, when you hear a oft-repeated bad joke (and 95% of puns), you only hear it once
Avatar 10:40pm
Therese:

Thanks!
  10:41pm
Dean:

There's that joke about jokes in prison, wherein each has a number, and a new inmate tries, "52!" Nobody laughs. He asks what's up. "Some folks just don't know how to tell a joke."

I wish my mom were so ironic, but no. And I don't skip to the punchline because 1) I like the full arc of the joke, and 2) I probably can't recite a punchline without starting from the beginning.

Hoboken Jack:

Hello Therese!! You are once again my soundtrack for a drive home from New Brunswick (where I just saw future Belock guest Resounding No).
Avatar 10:51pm

Hi Jack! One of my favorite ways to listen to WFMU is in a car while driving around New Jersey. I'm envious!
  10:56pm

Man, I wish I could do that. Warm day, arm out the window, cranking up the Woof Moo.

Science fiction publishing is a small world, and I was in it.... (also fan publishing, which I was in earlier)
  11:05pm
Dean:

Sure, but UKLG transcended that world, no?
  11:06pm
Carmichael:

Is this a real interview, or one of those Pat Byrne things?
Avatar 11:08pm
Therese:

Twillerama is indeed available to view on Amazon Prime: www.amazon.com...

She did, but she didn’t leave her friends behind, nor science fiction culture. She always said she was a science fiction writer, even when she got famous
