Would say it’s worth trying. Sadly most of my Kosher deli memories are in the deep Brooklyn past nowadays. Can recommend Middle Eastern stuff, tho.

	11:20pm Uncle Michael: That's cool. I have an annual deli date to plan with a friend from Queens. The 33rd st stop is near Sarge's and relatively convenient for both of us. The weekend PATH disruptions are a pain.
	🌫 11:20pm Franco Twinkie: Just last night a friend was telling me how once him and another smart ass called Ken Nordine on the phone, apparently his number was listed. Anyway, they asked him all kinds of stupid questions and Ken was a real good sport about it. It made me think of that episode of Leave It To Beaver when Gilbert, Whitey, and Beaver called Don Drysdale and asked him stuff like "Do you spit in your glove?"
	11:21pm JakeGould: @UncleMichael: Well, the Grove Street Path is still running. It’s the Exchange Place and anything WTC related is messed up.
	11:22pm JakeGould: I will say B&H Dairy on 2nd Avenue near St. Mark’s is still really good. But I think they have perverted the concept of blintzes into crepes, but the portions are fine and it is really the kind of place I grew up with.
	11:22pm Uncle Michael: Daniel, I'd have to go dig out the 45 he signed for me. I'd hate to paraphrase but it was the whole litany of record label absorbtions leading from Dot, the original label, to whoever owned the rights at the time of the inscription. It was numerous entities.
	11:24pm Uncle Michael: Yeah, Jake...I know I can do Grove to 14th as the shortest route. I might as well stay on till 33rd and get within a mile of Sarge's or 2nd Ave.

	11:34pm JakeGould: @Franco: Never. I went mainly to the original 2nd Avenue Deli and Katz’s when I was in “The City” as a kid. But the vast majority of deli I dealt with in my life happened in local neighborhood spots all over deep Brooklyn. All gone now.

Anyway, they asked him all kinds of stupid questions and Ken was a real good sport about it. It made me think of that episode of Leave It To Beaver when Gilbert, Whitey, and Beaver called Don Drysdale and asked him stuff like "Do you spit in your glove?"

	11:22pm JakeGould: I will say B&H Dairy on 2nd Avenue near St. Mark’s is still really good. But I think they have perverted the concept of blintzes into crepes, but the portions are fine and it is really the kind of place I grew up with.
