So much to think about when you open yourself up up to thinking on getting another furbuddy.

We have a 10 year old Labradoodle (Ozzie, see my icon). A year and a half ago we got a mini labradoodle puppy who stayed with us a few months (my daughter takes her to college, but during breaks and summer she lives here) . She drives Ozzie absolutely crazy. She wants to play with him non stop, nips at him all the time (he's more than twice her size ,but he's a wimp). I think he does miss her when she leaves, though, but it makes us crazy until she does

If they're closer in age and temperament ,though likely not such an issue.

Well Fred is an 11ish beagle, who is beginning to slow down but still with fits of energy. This lady is 5 and she is a pit - about 10lbs heavier and a mix of energy and chill. Fred tends to like larger lady dogs - so in the end, it’s up to him.

KimSorise:

I love me some beagle! I have had 2, but I would like a different dog experience. Any pit lovers in the audience?

Mostly jazz tonight, sad :)

Three of my copy editor colleagues have pitties and are utterly enraptured with them! Here's a really lovely one who made the NY Times a couple of weeks back when her owner's book was published: twitter.com...

Must recuse, pure cat household. Great music, though.

Love our labradoodles, haven't had pit experience.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm
KimSorise:

Thank you, fleep. Sorry DocJazz, I know you’re heart broken.
I have been to a couple pitties recuse parties and their smile are pretty undeniable -
Fred came along when my sweet Bean was about 10 or so - as a means to increase his pep. But I’m ready(ing) but in no hurry. We will all know if it’s the right fit.
I have a good friend who has a labradoodle names Billy Crystal and he’s great. He is HUGE - like 90 LPs. Looks like Snufalufagus

I remember the first time I ever heard this LP - mind blown. I was in Louisville, I had lived here about 3 months.

I could only watch MTV at my grandparents or friends as well... When I discovered music-music in 1992, the local station w/ good music lasted until '93 until Clear Channel bought it. Then, the next year, the university station w/ good music (which I could usually catch at night), also got bought by Clear Channel a month before I started uni there (of course), after that, it was pirate radio until I discovered WFMU online in 1998.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm
KimSorise:

Detroit has tremendous radio growing up and also the benefit of CBCs Brave New Wave and 580 Memories CKLW - we had student run stations, underground WABX and my first foray into radio was a pirate station set up in the back of a ford van and we drove around the Cass Corridor in 90-91. I too discovered WFMU around 1998 online. But knew about the before hand due to my love of radio and Ken did a stint I think at WHFR
