RW, no infrastructure problems so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26am
Franco Twinkie:

RW, you guys are probably linked to major power lines that run through the desert.
  1:28am
rw:

Frustrating. Don't they know I've got work to do??
  1:29am

This Meridian Bros. is fucking awesome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30am

Aw man, just chill and pop one open.
  1:30am

Oh, yes. Unharshable. I almost forgot. Thanks, man.
  1:33am
rich:

if you ever get the chance to see the meridian bros. live go. they played nyc a few nights a couple of years ago and i got to see them twice and they are great. unfortunately they haven't played in america since. they do play europe though for those of you there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36am
Franco Twinkie:

I'm just joking around, RW. I'm actually strategizing as I type. I have no place to run to.
  1:36am
rw:

Thanks rich. I will watch for them! In the meantime there seem to be several albums to peruse...
  1:40am
rw:

Well. I'M popping one open. Power seems to have resumed to normal. Time for a small celebration.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41am
Franco Twinkie:

There you go!
  1:44am
?:

Good morning, Richard. This is your franchise partner, Stork. So bright and sunny here in Germany, it could be Italy.
  1:47am
Stork:

Omigod, I thought that was an Allan Sherman at first, not Nat King Cole.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49am
Franco Twinkie:

Stork! What a match up! Almost as good as Jackie Gleason and Salvador Dali.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50am
coelacanth∅:

hey rw i finally got down to my sister's house where packages were waiting for me. i'll get back to you after i can take it all in, but a couple lps i know that's you're doing -and many cds. i think Joe was struck with the same spirit that struck you! like i said i haven't really checked it all out, been working long days all week trying to make up for lost work; but i see dj premiums i didn't know about. i think he saw the weird shit i chose and ran with it!
anyway it's an estimable thing you did and i Thank you again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am
coelacanth∅:

rw, Franco -i know these are not "tremors" but isn't it a good thing that earth is letting loose with these rattlers rather than holding it in until it cracks open and swallows bridges and buildings?
this is what i've been led to believe.
  2:03am
rw:

Hey coel, Glad you got it! You ended up with more of the CDs and I ended up with more of the LPs. The list I had to work from was a little tough to decipher or I would have made the CD/LP ratio a little more equitable. In any case I hope there's some stuff in there you like! I ended up ordering a copy of the Sugai Ken LP (Play Vertigo prize) for myself too! It arrived a couple days ago. Haven't listened yet but I'm pretty stoked about it.
  2:04am
Brian Smith:

Teally. You get to see Lydia Lunch or the Psychedelic Furs. You lucky east coast dudes.
  2:06am
rw:

And coel, the earthquakes are fairly strong but they seem to be happening far from heavily populated areas. They've felt very rolling where we are. Both hit when I was sitting outside and I could see the trees swaying. Pretty cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09am
Franco Twinkie:

Coel, Cal Tech is close by. Tomorrow I will drive by after the farmers market and see if I can find a scientist standing on the lawn out front, and pose your question.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12am
coelacanth∅:

i was just reading -i guess there have been some injuries though.
...and that's crazy you gave away an album you specifically want! if your prize list is like mine there're all kinds of things in there that you don't even know what to expect!
anyway i psyched
and when i get into it further i'll ask you which cds are from your list.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14am
coelacanth∅:

Franco that sounds like a movie scene
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16am
Franco Twinkie:

Panic In The Year Zero, perhaps?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19am
coelacanth∅:

...and i wish i could pop one open with y'all but i need to sleep.
Thanks Rich
take care everyone
and, maybe rig up some strategy? just in case this trend continues
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21am
coelacanth∅:

(maybe that's stupid....so many ways safety strategies can fail)
  2:23am
rw:

Night coel! My strategy is I've got a mountain bike and some backpacking equipment. But I'm sure I'll be stranded far from home when it happens and I'm not sure how far that shit will get me anyway. Maybe I'll just die along with everyone else and won't have to worry about it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24am
coelacanth∅:

rw don't do that!
  2:27am
rw:

Ha! Hopefully it won't come to that. But thanks!
  2:28am
rw:

I'm buying a case of beans and rice tomorrow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43am
daupomatic:

Digging the show very much this morning!
  2:55am
rw:

Thank you for the music Mr. Hazelton! Have a great weekend everyone.
  2:56am
rich:

thanks for listening everyone and take care of yourselves and others out there on the other side. and stork, franco's correct regarding your allan sherman/nat king cole matchup.
