Hello, Tony, greets, Rich in Washington.
Tape Hiss me, bro.

Hi, Tony! Fortunately, those of us with synesthesia will provide our own images as long as you supply the music. (I don't have synesthesia.)

Hiya, Sem!!

Gaylord!!! Nice to have your ears here.....

Tony Coulter:

Weirdly, the accuplaylist doesn't seem to be able to handle accents today -- usually there's no problem
Avatar 12:10pm
Tony Coulter:

Accents as in diacritical marks -- not my fake German or French accents
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm
Gaylord Fields:

I'm in a rare situation where I can work and listen to music, so I'm taking full advantage.

Greetings, Tony and all!!!

Tony Coulter:

Hey there, Mayuko!

(First mistyped "Hey ether" -- which sort of works too.)
Avatar 12:20pm
Tony Coulter:

I guess that little film clip just now was from the French dubbed version of Hitchcock's "Vertigo"
Avatar 12:22pm
Tony Coulter:

Not only will you have to imagine the playlist image today, you'll have to imagine the accents on French words.

Hi, Rich in Washington, Mayuko, Sem!
Avatar 12:28pm
Tony Coulter:

I have a sneaking suspicion that P. et Goitre De Galine is Ptôse related.
Avatar 12:35pm
Mayuko:

Gaylord! Nice to "see" you here!
Avatar 12:47pm
Tony Coulter:

By the way, the cassette on now comes with all sorts of visual goodies: photos & two booklets.

I met one of the Fat guys years ago -- he wasn't fat at all.
Avatar 12:56pm
Tony Coulter:

Also, btw: Today's Tape Hiss will be the last Tape Hiss until November. October is specials month for me (and many other people at the station). Still trying to figure out what my specials will be.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm
Gaylord Fields:

Likewise, Mayuko!
Avatar 1:05pm
Tony Coulter:

Human Flesh (on now) is an Alain Neffe project. The guitarist must be M.A.L. (Daniel Malempré)
Avatar 1:14pm
Tony Coulter:

This track is certainly providing your daily minimum dose of tape hiss.

What IS the effect of soil moisture on Sorghum growth
Avatar 1:57pm
Tony Coulter:

and ... Sylvie and Babs is more or less Nurse with Wound in disguise
Avatar 2:05pm
Tony Coulter:

@ Cmurtha: Weren't you taking notes when Iaf explained what the effect of moisture is? You'll be lucky to pass this class, young man.

Never heard the LPD (but there is a lot I haven't heard)
Avatar 2:14pm
Tony Coulter:

Ahoy, NGH! Yeah, LPD/Edward Ka-Spel is pretty damn prolific....
Avatar 2:20pm
Tony Coulter:

The tape coming up next will be a big change of pace. It's psych folk and was released by someone most likely totally outside of the '80s industrial/experimental cassette underground scene. A voice out of time.
Avatar 2:26pm
northguineahills:

War images, cassette, War!!!!!???
Avatar 2:27pm
northguineahills:

(War, an emphatic, where)
Avatar 2:28pm
Tony Coulter:

Well, thanks to nefarious hackers I can't post playlist images the usual way today. Here's the pic on FB, tho, in case you swing that way: www.facebook.com...

Greetings, TC and fellow TC'sters! Am enjoying the program...
Avatar 2:32pm
Tony Coulter:

Hey there, L.O.T.! Glad to hear it!
Avatar 2:35pm
Tony Coulter:

This is hard to prove, obviously, but to me this O.C. Last stuff doesn't sound like "revivalist" neo-psych, or whatever. It feels like it has an unbroken connection to the early '70s.
Avatar 2:36pm
Tony Coulter:

... an unbroken connection to SSW loner folk psych from the '70s, that is....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm

Thank you for the show Tony!

You're welcome, Cmurtha -- but how did you know I was about to sign off? Mindreader!
