@Sheila: I think you recently lamented the lack of recent reissues and anthologies focusing on female African artists. Yesterday, Trouble played a truly excellent cut off of the Africa Seven label's "Return to the Mothers' Garden (More Funky Sounds of Female Africa 1971-1982)" comp. It may be worth checking out.

Sheila: I was driving home from work when you asked about Hotel California. I listen mostly to your show, Evan, Zoe B, and Reggae schoolroom. Sometimes to Honkey Tonk Girl. I find that most people our age loved Hotel California when it came out in 1976. Think about it. A reggae song by a country rock band with a great solo about the California Lifestyle. The eagles were the biggest band in the world at the time and New Wave was just around the corner. Then it became hip to diss the eagle and bands like them. Most people who say meh to the eagles are secretly eagles fans.

Just want to say I have been listening to this station for 11 years now, since I was 16! I've taken it with me as I've lived and moved around the world from my hometown of Los Angeles, to all of my travels in the Navy. The app has made this so easy, don't know what I'd do without it. Listening from Manchester UK right now.
