There's a pretty funny story about the filming of The Island of Dr. Moreau (in North Queensland) in the documentary Lost Soul that, finally fed up the mess of the production, Fairuza Balk got a cab and asked to go to, I think it was Sydney, not realizing how far it was, but got the lift.
