Silence. It's a downtown Toronto neighbourhood, but now quiet as a lakeside nature sanctuary. A zen moment for me and the cat.

	10:04am WoodsOfNH: Yes, littering is a strange habit. I often see those little plastic disposable flossing wands on the ground when I gas up the car. So people floss while filling up and then drop it on the ground? I guess so!
	10:04am StringOFperils: A few days back, at the grocery store, went I moved to bag my stuff, I recoiled to see my food bumping up against an empty mandarin orange crate containing used gloves. I gingerly picked it up and moved it to the floor against the nearest wall...F***.

Like most quality-of-life laws here in capital's playland, I assume that's to be weaponized only against the poor. @Stanley: It's worse than I feared. 	10:06am p20: I have been completely avoiding the supermarket and only shopping at the small grocer in my neighborhood, and at our food coop. Have not really seen any of the horrible behavior people are reporting. No overbuying, no dropped masks or gloves, very few JRu-radius violations. I see a lot of people being extremely careful and trying very hard to do the right thing.
	10:06am Trouble: sort of like seeing people driving in winter without wiping the snow from their rear window: it tells you a lot about how they normally drive. right now we are seeing lots of sad indicators about who people really are. and frankly I can do without seeing the darkness in their souls: I see enough of the interior of the cheeto in charge ...

I think there’s an assumption by those responsible that since there are people paid to clean and clear up, they will just outsource it to them and no worry about it. Solipsistic and filthy sadly.

	10:09am WoodsOfNH: In our little town there's a market that's run by area farmers. We place orders online and then do curbside pickup. Same thing goes for the bookstore across the street. I haven't been in an actual store in about 3 weeks.

	10:11am melinda: I waited in line for almost an hour outside the local food co-op the other day. It was a pain but people were distancing well, most had masks, and once inside there were so few people I felt like I had the store to myself. The wait was worth the feeling of safety. Plexiglass partitions at checkout, too.

	10:13am p20: I know some people have no option but to go to the supermarket. But if you have any other options they are probably better. Also some places are letting you call in orders ahead for pick-up.

	10:13am David in London: p20 - some of my friends in south London have been using the TMu, the Thurston Moore unit. Handy took a strong line against it, understandably so.
	10:13am JakeGould: @Trouble: Stuns me that seemingly the very last group of workers pulled off the job in the middle of this health crisis are construction workers. Shows everyone two things: How much construction is a massive economic motivator and how much corruption there has to be in that industry for that to happen. I live in deep Brooklyn and this Monday the corner near me where day laborers gathered was still filled with day laborers despite the whole neighborhood being shut down.

They are initially telling people to disperse if they see something and it’s a large crowd or when people call 911 to report them. The Orthodox community in Borough Park and Williamsburg gets “ratted” on regularly because those numbness still gather in very large groups.

I have boiled them and watched TONS of dye come out of them. Nasty stuff. And the cotton threads are spaced far apart. Almost muslin. You are much better just buying a vintage bandana off of someone on eBay and have it delivered. 100% cotton. A decent bandana brand is called “Paris” so just do a search for “Bandana Vintage Paris” and pick one or two.

Hangouts is a legacy product for Google that it uses at this point only to keep a little facial-recognition data stream flowing while it markets its improved platform to business customers. So ... if your vocals work on other platforms, assume it's goggle having some sort of fit about your hardware. I have to use goggle hangouts for work meetings for some reason. Quel horreur.

Silence. It's a downtown Toronto neighbourhood, but now quiet as a lakeside nature sanctuary. A zen moment for me and the cat.

	10:06am p20: I have been completely avoiding the supermarket and only shopping at the small grocer in my neighborhood, and at our food coop. Have not really seen any of the horrible behavior people are reporting. No overbuying, no dropped masks or gloves, very few JRu-radius violations. I see a lot of people being extremely careful and trying very hard to do the right thing.

It was a pain but people were distancing well, most had masks, and once inside there were so few people I felt like I had the store to myself. The wait was worth the feeling of safety. You are much better just buying a vintage bandana off of someone on eBay and have it delivered. 100% cotton. A decent bandana brand is called “Paris” so just do a search for “Bandana Vintage Paris” and pick one or two.

Hangouts is a legacy product for Google that it uses at this point only to keep a little facial-recognition data stream flowing while it markets its improved platform to business customers. So ... if your vocals work on other platforms, assume it's goggle having some sort of fit about your hardware. I have to use goggle hangouts for work meetings for some reason. Quel horreur.
