Evening, Kim and all!

WR:

I'm a bit weak kneed but looking for some Global Grease to keep moving. Hi Kim and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm
KimSorise:

Hello James and WR! Hope I can help restore some sanity this evening or at least take you even further into the nether regions.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm
KimSorise:

Welcome all! Hope you're doing alright!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 7:20pm
WR:

That Calvin Keys had guitar feel similar to what I recall on some Jerry Hahn recordings. Although I've heard Keys on other leaders' dates I hear that I've neglected his. Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm
doctorjazz:

Hey, funky folks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm
doctorjazz:

Hey, WR, got a bunch of CDs ripped, waiting to hear back from a friend, then will send. Bunch of Rollins and Bird to go...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm
doctorjazz:

You feeling OK?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm
KimSorise:

Certainly, WR. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey DocJazz! Welcome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm
doctorjazz:

Trying to decide on a laptop for my wife, she'll be teaching some psychology courses on line, had to be able to use the apps to be able to teach, also show some video. All the computers in the house are ancient and not running well (still have Windows 7 on one)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm
doctorjazz:

Like this Falola.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm
KimSorise:

If all the apps are google based or blackboard she may be able to get away with a higher end chrome book
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm
chresti:

Hi Kim and Greasers!
  7:36pm
JtotheK:

Hiya everybody.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
doctorjazz:

You think, Kim? Not sure whatapp the class will use (she's braving the supermarket now, should be back soon). You can spend anywhere from $200 to $3k on a laptop, been researching them today (it's making me crazy).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm
KimSorise:

The cost difference is outrageous - but if she is mainly using a google platform, then yes. I would get a chrome books and a external harddrive -
But the Surfaces are nice but i it's a psych class a solid windows based computer would be fine. Mac give's educational discounts too - Maybe a Mac Air
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm
doctorjazz:

It's a post grad course tho a bunch off wannabe therapists (can never have took many in the NY/NJ area, especially these days). We had an iMac years back, she never got along with it, so she'd prefer Windows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm
KimSorise:

Yeah, she needs a decent windows unit with a strong processor.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm
doctorjazz:

My daughter got the Surface Pro 3+ years ago, for college, she didn't like it, wo wound up with a MacBook Air, which she does like. The Surface, which is also a bit old, isn't so great, use it a bit for internet and email (but they're have been newer models since)

WR:

doctorjazz, if you were enquiring if I'm feeling ok because of my initial "weak kneed" comment, I'm ok. A bit exhausted due to many 14 hour work days over the last two weeks and yesterday being my first day off in 3 weeks. And I spent most of my day off Sunday mopping floors with bleach solution and sorting and tossing out old magazines. So just tired.

My manager is making efforts to have this week be a saner schedule.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:06pm
WR:

And hence my approach to Global Grease as therapy. Good results so far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm
KimSorise:

Glad you get a bit of down time WR- and glad you're enjoying the show so far
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10pm
chresti:

I've been meaning to mop floors and clean for the last 4 weeks.

Rocking it hard tonight,Kim. Interesting thing about the lock down, A lot of jazzers are getting their boogie on.As if to say All bets are off, I'm gonna do what the fuck I want! I know that's my attitude.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm

Happy to boogie down any time, Franco! Been good barbecue company!

Was just reading email from my local emergency care office. They say they are now geared up to test anyone. There are guidelines for doing appropriate test depending on whether you currently have symptoms or not or if you had symptoms in the past.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
KimSorise:

Hey Gina!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
doctorjazz:

My sister went to an a urgent care center in Queens, near where she lives. She took get father in law to the hospital last week (he did test positive for Corona, was quite I'll but is improving at this point. My brother in law is on cancer chemotherapy, and they're petrified she may have picked it up when she brought her father in law to the ER, which would be scary indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
doctorjazz:

It does seem easier to get tested, though I get they are still limiting it some.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm
KimSorise:

You can only get tested in KY if you have major symptoms
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm

DEATH, the ultimate band name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
Franco Twinkie:

Roky,hell yeah!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
WR:

Rocking rave up from Roky, yeah!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm
Doug Schulkind:

I saw Death perform live, except the band wasn't Death anymore. Two members of the band moved to Vermont and reincarnated as a really mediocre reggae band playing ski resorts. I only learned well after the fact that the band had been the remnants of the great Death.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
KimSorise:

Did you see the incarnation with their sons, Doug? Rough Francis - I think they're called.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
doctorjazz:

Punk Grease, not that common.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
Doug Schulkind:

No, I saw Lambsbread, which featured (features?) Bobby and Dannis Hackney.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
Gina Bacon:

Thanks, Kim!
  8:50pm
gonedungit:

DEATH the punk band was fabricated by a "nephew" of a really good crazy musician who of course was committed. DEATH the metal band though is a real band. that melts faces. real
