(Agreed about DotDash, ultradamno, though I rarely can listen live.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm
ultradamno:

It's later us's problem is how the country is run these days.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm
mariano:

That's right, Hearty - you lived in Montpellier. I lived there '93-'94, did quite a bit of busking.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm
Handy Haversack:

Mariano, it might be easier if we start listing places you *haven't* lived!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm

Rockford Files and Hill Street Blues my dad's favorite shows when I was a kid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm
dale:

ha ha - love american style stuart margolin.

Listener Robert:

Unforttunately my video explaining "Lost" would be several times longer than "Lost" itself ran. I'd have commentary on nearly every minute of the show, some of it in slow motion, plus I'd have to include as links clips or the entire length of several movies and TV shows which were the source material for "Lost". Plus I'd need links to text and graphics for other source material. Plus a little background on my relationship to Damon Lindelof.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm
ultradamno:

My dad watched two shows with any enjoyment (aside from news and sports that just seemed to agitate him) that I've ever noticed; Andy Griffith and Sanford & Son...he's pretty much pared it down to Andy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
dale:

i wonder if fess parker is short for 'confess,' a sort of christian penance right out of the womb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
Handy Haversack:

My dad definitely liked Sanford and Son. Sports he watched constantly but mainly would fall asleep to -- he was long since cut off from actual fandom. But he had ended up in Atlanta, so Braves games were all televised.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
ultradamno:

I saw some homeless man on TV tell a reporter that he was only wearing a mask to be politically correct.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm
dale:

big circle for a nose/mouth face thing

Listener Robert:

People speak of bullshit artists as a denigratory thing, but Hearty shows there really is an art to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm
ParUbi:

I love it! poo sleeves!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm
ParUbi:

These last few minutes alone earn this episode a golden star
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm
ultradamno:

Are we talking about the vampire detective now?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm
dale:

poo sleeves will probably be an infomercial offering on that station that shows matlock and rifleman reruns.
  7:30pm
P-90:

The Vogue “Spring Looks” issue did say that poo sleeves are coming back in style, in a big way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm
dale:

if that tommy copper guy sells poo sleeves i'm in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm
coelacanth∅:

greetings Hearty & Miraculous folk
  7:33pm
Listener Robert:

One of the most interesting developments of a character in crime literature as a good bad guy was Boston Blackie. In the original writings by Jack Boyle (but with the character allegedly ripped off from elsewhere) he was a safe cracking criminal, but a noble one. Then on radio he was a REFORMED criminal. Finally on TV he had NEVER been a criminal, but merely pretended to have a criminal past.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm
dale:

detectiving is hard work - needs to be a crime more than 'someone took my corn pads.'
  7:36pm
Listener Robert:

Yeah, but Sherlock Holmes would've been intrigued by the mystery of the missing corn pads, so he'd've investigated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
ultradamno:

You could do a kind of munchausen by proxy deal where you cause the infraction and then take the case and solve it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm
ParUbi:

I like the Memento idea-- that you committed the crime and forgot you did it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
ultradamno:

Oldboy was kind like that too, wasn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
dale:

i wanna be cremated and spread at the base of the rose bush. unless that's too much nitrogen. i have to consult my rodale's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm
ultradamno:

I want to be cremated and spread into the wind so it blows back into everyone's faces like in...well, many, many things
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm
mariano:

Twenty twenty twenty four hours to go-oh-oh, I wanna be cremated...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
dale:

"burning bone" should be an air freshener at pep boys.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm
coelacanth∅:

a cremated body might raise the ph of the soil too much for a rose bush.
+ cremation is terrible for the environment.
alkaline hydrolysis is the best way to "dispose of" a body when a person is done with it.
in my opinion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm
coelacanth∅:

(most u.s.states' governments extend their corruption to that realm too though, so it's not legal)

There is natural burial, if you can find someone to do it. www.burialplanning.com...

Bye Hearty, thanks! Thanks to the Crew too! As Rodney Dangerfield said: I'm so ugly that when I die they're gonna donate my body to science fiction."
