Hey Mark, did you hear the segment on systemic racism in AI on Democracy now last Friday?

https://www.democracynow.org/2020/6/26/racist_facial_recognition_technology_joy_buolamwini

Was good but I wish the interviewee mentioned more about how the big tech companies may distance themselves from AI, but the cat is out of the bag, as previous guests here mention.

I gotta go to a meeting now.
Will listen on the archive

18 months is probably enough data redundancy that losing older data actually makes for a more precise data targeting .

In short, it's actually an optimization for them, spun as a security improvement.

I’ve been using Photoshop since the late 80s. Let’s just say Google learned everything they needed to know from adobe. Adobe bought and destroyed any good creative company that had a decent product such as Macromedia‘s full line. I’m sure they have loads of info for sale.

Police still pretty much have faith in polygraphs too, don't they?
  6:28pm

The courts need to rule that facial recognition software can’t be used to arrest or convict people. Period. Just like the polygraph test. So completely outrageous.
