Ayler antics, cool! (I can hear how David Murray was influenced by him on this track. Of course, naming one out his early albums Flowers For Albert was a pretty good hint).
And, hi Kim and Greasers!

I've always thought the C.T. of the title refers to Cecil Taylor but just a guess.

And early Ornette, got a big smile on my face.

I wonder - WR. Not sure about that, DocJazz, any idea?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm
doctorjazz:

Who outs Albert Ayler's tune CT named for?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm
doctorjazz:

Don't know (WR's idea serene 9a good one), researching it now (as part on the reading, I read Ann interviews with David Murray where he directly contradicts what I wrote above-that is, he said Paul Gonzales, not Ayler, was the big influenceon his playing. But I still think I can hear it...)
Back if I find more...

Interesting article I read (quickly) on Ayler just now.

I do have the Revenant set which has early recording of Ayler playing with Taylor in Europe in 1962. Haven't looked at the set recently so don't know if I read it there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm

And here is the story of CT (spoiler-yes, it it's named for Cecil Taylor)

Hey, UM, just looking at the post of your gear. I have no idea about what what most of that stuff is, of course (once you get past mic, laptop, and turntables), but it sure is cool looking!
