That phrase with the ascending 5, 6, major 7 over first a major chord then a minor chord is used a lot but it's great. "It Doesn't Matter Any More" and "Sure Gonna Miss Her" to name two.

@Matt first Zombies show I saw in 2002 was a LOT of Argent and like 5 Zombies songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm

@Matt: Shame that will never happen as long as Colin is the junior partner of the Zombies after 55+ years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm

@Joey B: Is this White/Argent produced?

Neil macarthur version of god gave rock and roll to you coming up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm
Matt Clarke:

God Help Us was the failed follow up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm
Gaylord Fields:

Yeah, Rod Argent certainly plays too much of the band that shares his name. Maybe he needs to change it to Rod Zombie for us to hear more of the good stuff.

Judging from Colin Blunstone, Charles Ives, and Wallace Stevens, insurance execs certainly were a different kind of fella back in the day.

@Todd-o-phonic Todd: I've yet to hear what Lou Rawls could do with "Daddy Wants a Cold Beer," so the jury's still out for me.
