Is a quasi-fantasia when you take only half the mushrooms Walt Disney did?
Avatar 8:05pm
TDK60:

I don't know Revrab, waitin' on the DJ to explain that high-falutin' classical lingo.

Wonder how HAPPY Ludwig B would've been about his own Birthday? He was kind of a gloomy sort, understandably ...

Except for Field Marshal Ken Freedman, who called it correctly then, expecting the pandemic to last past this amount of time. Ken anticipates correctly again!

I really thought he was overly pessimistic, but he was spot on.

I think of Ludwig's Diabelli set as one of the greatest pieces that was almost not written... He didn't think much of the theme and wasn't interested initially in taking up Diabelli's invitation. But the improviser in him couldn't resist for long...
  8:58pm
bunyan:

You can find performances of the "other set" of Diabelli variations, written by Schubert and his pals, kid Liszt, and Mozart's kid, etc. on YouTube.
