Hey Terre T: No known connection between the Liberation News Service (the wire service that distributed news stories to underground newspapers in the late '60s) and the one-single-wonder band by that name. They both started around the same time (1967), so my hunch is that the band picked up an underground paper back then, before the LNS became big enough that it would've seemed odd, like naming your group Reuters, dug the name, and there you go...

BTW, enjoying the show on this chilly eve!

Terre, I knew he was in a band with Matt, but not Insomniacs. So cool! After a few episodes of Denny's Den, which I listen to, I found out Dennis is in the Smithereens, who I have loved since high school! I saw them one summer on the beach in Galveston, TX. I think it was somewhere between '83 and '85. I was wasted, but remember having a blast and was so happy I got to see them and on my beach! I hung out there every summer, every day! Good times!!
