Boom - ER - Ang = HEADS UP

there is a full moon on the rise .. bats are on the prowl ....
In the Eastern Madrid sky now (21:10 CET)

https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/news/2215/full-moon-guide-april-may-2022/

"One Moon, Many Names
In the 1930s the Maine Farmer's Almanac began publishing Native American names for the Moon each month of the year. According to this almanac – as the full moon in April – this is the Pink Moon, named after the herb moss pink, also known as creeping phlox, moss phlox, or mountain phlox, a plant native to the eastern U.S. that is one of the earliest widespread flowers of spring. Other names for this Moon include the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and among coastal tribes the Fish Moon, as this was when the shad swam upstream to spawn.

This is also the Pesach or Passover Moon. Pesach or Passover begins at sundown on Friday, April 15, and ends at nightfall on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The Seder feasts are on the first two evenings of Passover.

In the Christian ecclesiastical calendar, this is the Paschal Moon, from which the date of Easter is calculated. Paschal is the Latinized version of Pesach. Generally, the Christian holiday of Easter, also called Pascha, is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring. However, there are differences between the times of these astronomical events and the calendars used by the Eastern and Western churches. This is one of the years where these differences matter. Western Christianity will be celebrating Easter on Sunday, April 17, 2022, the Sunday after this first full moon of spring. Eastern Christianity will celebrate Eastern Orthodox Easter a week later on Sunday, April 24.

For Hindus, this full moon corresponds with Hanuman Jayanti, the celebration of the birth of Lord Hanuman, celebrated in most areas on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra.

For Buddhists, especially in Sri Lanka, this full moon is Bak Poya, commemorating when the Buddha visited Sri Lanka and settled a dispute between chiefs, avoiding a war.

If we're gonna get grouchy about vocal habits and tides, the endless UP inflection of statements is tough to take sometimes. As if every single clause is tentatively offered or simply inflected as a question -- and this is heard ranging from routine conversations to academic interview subjects in broadcasts. The brain gets wired to interpret voice expression a certain way, and this habit throws part of that out the window. But it's soooo common and present now that newer brains aren't wired the same way, i assume, in what's become more typical in speaking and hearing.

Thank you MarciB, I would like to check out both books, I'm a curmudgeon living under a rock so many modern things are new to me but I do like to know, for my friends. I liked Barbara Ehrenreich's book Bright-sided and also Natural Causes.

Tomas Bernhard is a Known but not widely known dead Austrian writer who wrote the most amazing stuff ..
won awards he refused ..
but he has a book in which the protagonist goes to the main museum in Vienna each day and looks at the same painting for hours while ranting in his head about the Museum Guides who talk drivel..
I canna' remember the name of the book = super.. over the top - crazy great book..
all of his books are great ...
He caused supreme chaos in Austrian Upper-Crust Society
and
refuses for his plays to be performed in his country of birth..

Morgan Freeman said this is response to a question about his powerfully effective acting, but the quote's been cropped and rearranged all over the place as general wisdom.
"Learning how to be still, to really be still and let life happen – that stillness can become a radiance. I’ve learned this from some of the great actors with whom I’ve worked."

Oh, tim from washington, I'm so so happy you got "Nina Simone's Gum!" was just talking yesterday to a friend about it. So WFMU pandemic times we spoke of "Museum Hours" w. Mary Margaret O'Hara sister of Catherine O'Hara (I thought maybe Tomas Bernhard was involved but maybe no?) a gorgeous film. Let me see where it plays.

From the Thomas Bernhard Article:

The climax of Old Masters, if you could call it that, comes when Atzbacher recalls a conversation with Reger not long after her death. She had been walking with him near the Kunsthistorisches Museum and, the museum having neglected to salt the sidewalks, slipped on some ice and fell. The Catholic hospital where she was taken then botched a surgery, and she died. Reger was completely incapacitated as a result. He remained confined to his apartment, unable even to eat, until “Suddenly I gave my tears free rein. … I sat there, giving my tears free rein and I went and wept and wept and wept.” It is the first time he expresses any emotion but rage or incredulity, or offers much beyond contempt. “We believe we can be alone, we believe we can be left on our own, we persuade ourselves that we can manage on our own … but this is a chimera. Without people we have not the slightest hope of survival,” Reger says. “No matter how many great minds and old masters we have taken on as companions, they do not replace a human being.” So Reger’s project becomes the replacement, through his studious fault-finding, of the “old masters” with people—flawed, deceitful, misleading people, and in that regard just like anybody else. Bernhard himself, of course, included.

The play that Reger invites Atzbacher to is The Broken Jug, a comedy by Heinrich von Kleist. A year after its first performance, in 1809, Kleist met Henriette Vogel, with whom he quickly forged a profound kinship. Vogel, however, was dying of uterine cancer. In 1811 the pair went out to the banks of the Wannsee, a lake on the outskirts of Berlin, and committed suicide together. Bernhard survived Hedwig Stavianicek, and if he had any doubts about carrying on after his old friend had died, this would seem to seal it: The performance that night, Atzbacher reports to close the novel, was awful. We carry on, imperfect.
