Rev - I worked St Mark's Bookshop (13 St Marks Pl - when it was there) '82-87..
One night I happened to be at the front desk/Register and a women banged busted open the door - she was raggedEd, crazy matted hair and a bloody beaten face and screamed in the Doorway : "NIXON and KISSENGER are War Criminals .." and slammed the door closed - POOF .. It was as though The Seer from the Oracle at Delphi and taken human form and graced us with her presence on St Marks Pl ... I think I did not move for some 20-30 seconds???

@djsheilab: Related to both music and weeks is Billy Crystal's one-man show (which I saw some years ago on Broadway) called 700 Sundays. Crystal describes his youth with his father, Jack Crystal, who, to Quote Wikipedia, "owned and operated the Commodore Music Store, founded by Crystal's grandfather, Julius Gabler. Crystal's father was also a jazz promoter, a producer, and an executive for an affiliated jazz record label, Commodore Records, founded by Crystal's uncle, musician and songwriter Milt Gabler."
