I am just coming to it now, and it really is astounding. Btw, the Qobuz store has wildly mispriced this set as a single disc (it's 8 CDs!), so if you want to get it as a high-grade download, now's your chance.

Sunday mornings are always magical in our house. Jessie and I are both tuned into D:O Radio, each doing our own things in different parts of the house. Aftab only sang about a third of the time, if that. Iyer and Ismaily really interacted well, and the latter surprised me with some heavy Moog action. It is said that their work is improvised, which was not at all apparent from the concert, where everything fit together so beautifully.

The Connie Converse story in the NYT is intriguing. I hadn't heard of her. Evidently her given name was Elizabeth Eaton Converse, which is also the name of a professor doing work on conflicts resolution at U Michigan around the time "Connie" disappeared in Ann Arbor.

In other strange name news, Wikipedia says Strachwitz was born with the name "Christian Alexander Maria, Graf Strachwitz von Groß-Zauche und Camminetz" I think the last part is a title? But they were farmers so... not sure what kind of Graf?
