I'll second the Halifax idea.

  9:27am jeremy the listener:

third option would be to just quit your job and open a soup kitchen with a disco ball. that would be my choice
  9:29am Parq:

That's it. I'm changing the name of my autobiography to "Soup Kitchen With a Disco Ball".
  9:29am Mark L:

Jeremy, I like that. Chesterfield needs a disco ball. And WFMU.
  9:29am Cecile:

  9:47am Mark:

Remember home position when typing danomatika
  9:47am still b/p:

Does Iggy cut his belly with a sharp baguette crust when he does a French number live?
  9:49am danomatika:

Iggy smears fresh Bleu to salve the baguette wounds ...
  9:49am Andy in Berlin:

I just realized I had had Real Player on pause for a while so all my comments are reacting to the previous set. Very embarrassing!

  10:01am annie:

  10:01am Mae West:

  10:07am Janet H:

PMD, so this whole playlist is for me....wow i feel special!
  10:09am Mr. Two-Arms:

Be careful what you comment! "subpoena is asking for commenters' addresses, birth dates, genders, telephone numbers, ISPs, IP addresses, and credit card numbers": http://tinyurl.com/l33sg3
  10:10am PMD:

Ken, why don't you play the rest of the morning all the songs backwards so you can save yourself RIAA time? Like, an entire album?
  10:13am Mark L:

If you play records backwards does the RIAA have to give you money?
  10:15am Vicki:

no Mark, you have to give them money.
  10:16am PMD:

Apparently not. Mark L I had asked Ken that at another time.
  10:16am Andy in Berlin:

Actually in such a case you have to give them yenom.
  10:17am BSI:

...but if you just randomly send the RIAA a bunch of money without playing anything, do you get really cool swag? A Buddha Machine that plays loops from Romeo & Juliet, mebbe?
  10:19am Janet H:

is this my bday song?
  10:19am Mark L:

Vicky, I'm sorry a joking sense doesn't come across on the internet.
  10:19am RIAAfellas:

"But now the guy has got to come up with Paulie 's money every week, no matter what. Business bad? Fuck you, pay me. You had a fire? Fuck you, pay me. The place got hit by lightning? Fuck you, pay me."
  10:21am Vicki:

Mark, I meant the RIAA have to pay you - oh well, there goes both our jokes :)
  10:21am PMD:

Oops, we all went wrong. I meant, if you play it backwards, no you do not have to give them money. Or yenom either.
  10:26am Parq:

Guys, it's simple. From the moment you open your eyes for the day, whatever you do, you have to send the RIAA money. If you don't, all of corporate music-land's business problems are your fault. Virgin going under? Your fault. Springsteen sales down? Your fault. Keith Moon's death? Your fault.
  10:26am Mark L:

I apologise for not only making a rubbish joke, but no-selling the ones which came after it. I'll shut up now :)
  10:27am RIAA:

Really Indicates Awful Assholes.

Shh, don't tell anyone. It's kind of embarrassing.
  10:27am annie:

there is no one yet that has told me if my joke was funny or not... just sayin.
  10:29am Mark L:

And while we're on the subject, mashup guys the RIAA make some excellent tunes, check them out.
  10:32am just sayin:

Not everyone wants to open themselves to being gotchaed...
  10:32am Ken:

Here you go Janet
  10:34am Janet H:

Ken Thank You!
  10:36am Bad Ronald:

That damn gazelle just keeps chewing to the beat!
  10:36am Cecile:

back!
  10:36am BSI:

.....that's no 'gazelle'...... it's a SPACE SHIP.....
  10:37am Mark:

Not only does that car alarm not work properly but the car's registration is up at the end of the month
  10:37am Just sayin' back:

Fine, then, but i thought it was pretty damn funny, Jews and all.
  10:42am OK then:

It was funny. :-P
  10:43am listener mark:

as the original listener mark, I demand royalties from those using my name
  10:43am Sayin' justly:

  10:46am JJZ:

  10:47am Cecile:

  10:47am JCityJensen:

http://current.com/items/89495678_modern-day-pirates.htm
  10:48am Carmichael:

Good morning Ken and mid-week woof-moo-ers.
  10:49am Janet H:

WHOA THAT SCARED ME.....
  10:53am say just anything:

It would bounce. Or, it was written against an old account with leftover checks.
  10:54am Parq:

Re Shimabukuro photo, Ken, was that your car? Sorry to be so grumpy.
  10:55am charis:

re simple simon crap--are you trying to kill us? That was the most painful thing I've ever heard.
  10:55am anything at all:

ok, i'll buy it!, here's my check!
  10:56am Jewish guy:

Oy, ha scream it was.
  10:57am Janet H:

i want to see the full size image of the batman comic pict......if possible
  10:58am annie:

see, it was made funnier by the photo of the two jews in the street. don't ask me why..
  11:01am jeremy the listener:

i'd peg ken as not ever having a car that had an alarm. total guess...
  11:01am Janet H:

7sd from last week was hilarious
  11:03am Cecile:

Hint: Fabio back on weekday afternoons again would be amazing
  11:04am annie:

cecile, i totally agree!!
  11:05am jeremy the listener:

RIAA uses real audio
  11:05am Carmichael:

Bye bye, RealAudio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11:05am Mark:

  11:06am Happy Listener:

RealAudio was never very good. Ohaiyo bakayarou!
  11:07am Joe Steele:

I had a boradcast TV in my bathroom. It's still there because it also has a radio in it.
  11:08am Dead Leaves:

Music please!
  11:08am triiiish:

Who fucking cares about hd picture on a tv, if 90% of the content is and remains crap?
  11:09am Mark:

Tres bien
  11:09am danomatika:

thats more like
  11:10am Happy Listener:

Who cares about an hd picture on a TV that only does regular resolution?
  11:11am Marcel Marceau:

Je veux être votre chien!
  11:11am Nick the Bard:

I still get Home Shopping Network on my broadcast tv. Also Channel 9 (kind of) and 5 (kind of less). And also some religous station on 46 that I never knew about. Well, and 4 too, but all they're airing is that damn "How to hook up your converter box" thing on an endless damn loop.

41 had the best send off though, complete New Years Eve party atmosphere complete with countdown.
  11:11am Cecile:

Oh, Iggy you are the crooner. Seriously

dead leaves in french. LMAO
  11:11am Who cares?:

Who cares???? I mean, WHO?????
  11:11am Happy Listener:

It's not like the converter is going to give you 1280x720!

Mort aux vaches!
  11:11am La vache:

Woof!
  11:11am Mac:

Hard to believe that 39 yers later... and countless jars of peanutbutter smeared on his chest, that this is the guy who is still around and singing this stuff!
  11:12am lightning494:

Try Yves Montand, Juliette Greco, Mouloudji, and others for this classic chanson that became Autumn Leaves in English.
  11:12am jeremy the listener:

what's TV?
  11:12am Mark:

What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? Who knows and who cares?
  11:13am Visionary:

I like seeing creap really really clearly and crisply.
  11:13am Visionary:

crap. so much for not proofreading.
  11:14am Happy Listener:

It's going to be the same lame pixels you always had, unless you upgrade to the super-grainy flat TVs.
  11:15am Carmichael:

This music is turning me into a cool slacker.
  11:16am JJZ:

HDTV is awesome and now it somewhat pains me to watch SD content.
  11:16am -max-:

That WFMU scrabble image would make a great t-shirt. Just saying...
  11:16am Happy Listener:

At least it isn't turning you into a snarky hipster.
  11:16am Joe Steele:

This song is syncing perfeclty with a car alarm outside. It took me a few minutes to realize they were seperate.
  11:17am Janet H:

jet ear party is my favorite
  11:17am GOD:

listens to slayer on the WOOFMOO
  11:17am Carmichael:

Snarky requires too much effort. I'm slouching right now.
  11:18am Paul Bushmiller:

Ken,

Long time listener, first caller. Wait different broadcast. Regarding Digtal TV. Agree 100%.
My sister who is an antitrust lawyer with the FCC, sent me this bulletin the FCC released yesterday.
http://www.fcc.gov/con-adv-061509.pdf
It tells how to do a double data-deleting rescan with a convertor box. It actually seems to help, try it. At the FCC they're actually pleased with how all this went. Idiots.
  11:19am annie:

carm- this station has turned me into a slacker.
  11:20am PMD:

This station has turned me into a non productive worker. Is that the same as slacker?
  11:21am Janet H:

super t-bone
  11:21am annie:

do i smell a class-action suit for damages to useful companies gone bad by slacker employees?
  11:21am Happy Listener:

re: fcc alert: I didn't know that UHF only went up to 51 these days. What happened?
  11:23am Joe Steele:

Work has made me an unproductive commentor, unfortunately.
  11:24am Happy Listener:

FMU has turned me into a slacker and I'm a civil servant. Your tax dollars at work. On the other hand, a portion of my salary every year goes to FMU at marathon time, so your money is well-used at that.
