thinking about the Jim Prince Show that would be an interesting idea; have DJs play music for a few minutes but have a whole bunch of them, like 480 (1440min per day/3min = 480)
  3:17pm
Looms:

Heya Scott!

  3:23pm

  3:23pm
Looms:

  3:24pm
Looms:

Don't know much about Chico Buarque actually...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm

yeah, I guess that's how we all feel about bryce. Felt like I had to mention it though..
Speaking of "fuck." I was taking my son to his birthday dinner (he's 6) yesterday and saw a woman with a Bruins shirt on. I did a friendly "boo" and thumbs down as they were playing against the Caps that very moment. She looks at me and screams "FUCK YOU!!!!" Craziest overreaction I've experienced in a long time.
  4:00pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

never underestimate the insanity of sports fans
  4:01pm
BSI:

Jeezus, DCPat... I've gone down the pub to watch Arsenal matches & surrounded by enemy forces (Chelsea fans), there's always good-natured jeering but never that level of animal nonsense.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm
Scott:

that reminds me of the best reason to see Cabin in the Woods (and there are lotsa good reasons): Richard Jenkins repeatedly screaming "FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!!!!!" at a classroom full of 9-yr old Japanese schoolgirls
  4:04pm
Waqas:

screaming at a classroom of 9-year old Japanese girls??? that's mean :X

Carmichael:

I was in LA a week or two ago, and found a brewery next to my hotel. Thought it was great, until I discovered it was the Dodgers home opener. The game was over, and the joint was mobbed with blue-shirted assholes of both genders, the perfect storm of fat, loud and hammered. I was shocked at the level of bestiality in the place, though the bartenders just shrugged it off as another day.
  4:12pm
100% pure dc pat:

BSI: never had any trouble with soccer fans either although it's a different story in England from what I hear.
  4:13pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

presumably that's why I rarely venture out of punk dives, weirdo coffee houses, and art galleries.

@Dead Corporate Eyes that's what makes it fun! the weirder the better! weird/strange = originality

someone needs to do a gabber-style cover of that one.
  4:23pm
Waqas:

"coke weed" ouch that must be one hell of a drug.
  4:23pm
Carmichael:

For the briefest of moments, I read Bless Them That Curse You as being by Loggins & Messina, and panicked. All is well now though, at least comparatively.
  4:28pm

Scott: many thanks for playing the Dancing Mice track. I see the album is getting a few plays in different shows on WFMU.

They Saved Hutler's Brain is a GREAT cheesy movie. I saw Logan's Run on Saturday, reminded me what a wuss-face Michael York is.

good call emmagineering! I'm also hearing Prince Rama & several others here, but this thing's from '75
  5:49pm

@ emmagineering -- harlemans are from the 70s! and amazing!!
  5:51pm
emmagineering:

Oh wow, so those effects are tape based! Crazy, I'll have to research them... Thanks!
  5:55pm
Caryn:

@Carm: yeah, but the Sandman uniforms are very snazzy. I actually translated the "Logan's Run" book into Finnish as part of my thesis, so I know way too much about that universe.
  5:56pm
Philo Gristle:

I'll second CHUD and Q: The Winged Serpent. Any Larry Cohen films, in fact, are worth watching. The ones he directed at least. Even A Return to Salem's Lot with Sam Fuller as a vampire hunter.
  5:57pm
Caryn:

Over here, it's already April 24: the birthday of the guy who invented the zipper.
  5:58pm
