happy friday

Hey Hambuger. How's Paris today?
  6:13am
hamburger:

I'm in London, but I'd imagine Paris to be sunny, 26 degrees, 44% humidity, visibility clear, because I have just checked google.
  6:16am
Marc:

it's beautiful here in Liverpool.
  6:21am
ausmanx:

i'm in sydney, jason... no confusion there! good evening, and it's cold and windy
  6:27am
Nathan:

England is a country within Great Britain (the island) along with Wales, Scotland and some might even disambiguate Cornwall. Whereas the United Kingdom would include Northern Ireland.. Scottish and Welsh tend to get a bit tetchy if you refer to them as being English. British is probably your safest bet when referring to someone with an undefinable accent whose obviously from the islands.
Avatar 6:38am
DJelbogen:

But asking someone who's speaking in what Americans would call a 'British' accent if s/he's "from the U.K.?" will be inoffensive 100% of the time, right?
  6:42am
hamburger:

if anyone can get offended by that I'd bonk them right in the schnozzer
  6:47am
Nathan:

@DJelbogen - Yes.

hamburger:

shame you can't be a fighter jet pilot Jason :o( you would have been an 'okay' wingman
Avatar 7:55am
DJelbogen:

Are wingmen profoundly near-sighted?
  7:59am
hamburger:

well no, because a near-sighted wingman wouldn't exist
Avatar 8:03am
DJelbogen:

The best wingman, though, would use the 'force'. Blind would be ok.

Hi DJElbogen, listeners!

Digging this set a lot!
Avatar 8:53am
DJelbogen:

Hey '?'... Do you prefer the scattered-all-over-the-place sets of songs that don't go well together [like this last set where i'm just trying to cram in a bunch of songs regardless of how they 'flow' into each other. (I actually prefer 'shuffle', but it's considered lazy d.j.ing, I believe, so I try to make each set 'flow' together somehow (although I'd prefer jarring changes as I said)
  8:56am
BSI:

I, for one, support the "whiplash segue" technique.
  8:57am
Cheri Pi:

no way Jelbo: this set is SO Dayton Ohio, the perfect tribute to our friend who just passed away
Jeremy: "Dayton has always been that way. It has always been unique. When I started going to shows in the late 80s, you’d have a band like Haunting Souls who were doing this politico stuff that was borderline-Slayer in terms of heaviness, and the band right after that would have two drum machines and the guy would be naked and wearing a Dominos pizza box and rapping about straight-edge shit. And yeah, there are rivalries and shit like that, and there’s all kinds of scandal like there’s supposed to be, but I think that Dayton."

mickers:

wow. so glad you're back, Jason! big fan of yer show for a while now.
