@Matt- I second that. Years ago I was the promoter/manager for a local band and I tried to get them gigs at the nearby prisons and psych hospitals. It all went well until the big boss of the places said no way. After hearing the demo CD. Especially because one of the songs was Texas Prison Jailbreak.

One time one of the joints made us all do a criminal back ground check. I gave them all of the info from the band members that they needed to do it. such as DOB Soc, etc. And they also wanted mine. Even though I would not be there. It came back that they said no. I asked who it was that we couldn't do a gig there. I thought it was because of our guitarist. The guy said no, it is because of your background check. And I was like, I am not even going to be there!

ken , we've been getting Fmu in rockland all along on 91.1. Nyack , because of the Clausland mountain has always had bad reception even with much larger stations . It can be spotty but we go way back on 91.1.

For what it's worth, I'm getting a faint 91.9 about four miles south of the state line at Pearl River. 91.1 works for only about two more miles north from me; I wonder if this means I'll get uninterrupted coverage going north now.

I live in Budd Lk NJ, which is the NW corner of Morris cty. I can't get the 91.1 signal very strong, but can get 90.1 . When you are traveling west on rt 80, you have to change over from 91.1 to 90.1 when you pass exit 27

Just checked 91.9 here and it's no go. Doesn't help that there's 91.7 and 92.1 locally. This is just north of Poughkeepsie. A bit north of here, 90.1 fades out.

WFMU should conduct a ceremonial Entry Parade into Rockland, complete with a ribbon cutting at the state line, and an oversized radio that is switched at that very moment from 91.1 to 91.9. Perhaps a lucky patient at Rockland Psych could be drawn at random to be set free--or more appropriately, given a show on WFMU. Dignitaries one and all will attend.
