Yes Rabbit, Ivey League 1st appeared as background singers on the Who's Can't Explain. They were really a vocal trio trying to make it on their own.

Hey Stanley, did you get my reply?

@Carmichael were they Carter Lewis and the Southerners?
Avatar 1:02pm

@Brian: very good! John Carter & Ken Lewis were that band, and a 3rd guy joined them (Perry Ford, had to look his name up). Eventually, Tony Burrows found his way into the band. And there's the Hotlegs/10cc connection.

Did Brian, thanks. I didn't know how the 'contact' thing worked but I do now. I wanted to get in touch to thank you for your 'ghost' message left on the Zero Hour archives, regarding the Pere Ubu/Rokia Traore gig in Edinburgh. Funny thing is that I'm actually heading to the venue tomorrow to listen to McFall's Chamber do a Zappa/Beefheart tribute evening. So think I'll purchase a couple of tix for Pere Ubu there and then, though I can't really get my head round the Traore/Ubu double act thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm

Stanley seems like a wacko double bill. Thought you might hit that gig tomorrow. Zappa's siblings are touring again soon.
