Intrinsically curated, the music on this program—exclusively vinyl played on Technic 1200 M3D turntables—presents an illuminating collection of other-worldly grooves, beats, and sounds. Host Kim Sorise honors the jazz innovators, beat conductors, soul senders, and mind benders that traverse our musical and auditory landscapes. Grease for all. In music we trust.

I've been digging into that reissue set of the Aretha Columbia recordings. There's a LOT of good stuff.

If there's a silver lining to Axelrod's passing, it's all the Lou Rawls I've heard played.

You almost never hear the Ink Spots on 'FMU (inside joke).

I was thinking the same thing, UM.

But I adore the Ink Spots - despite the horribly racist name. We had an easy listening station in Detroit called WJOI and they were a staple. I used to listen endlessly with my grandparents

I'd forget to get to this show sooner, but something somehow told me that a vintage Somewhere My Love was a'playin', and I was called forward for that blessing and these others -- it's snowin' blessings!.

There were some fair shots but some misses, too, in the treatments last night in the multi-artist medley of Bee Gees songs in the Grammy program. Anybody see it?

Thanks, Doug. I've been sampling more of the Drummer After Dark shows recently due to some particular and some vague shifts in how I'm doing things. The daily e-paradiddle will help set the listening geography in mind.

@Doug: Would it importune - ? - to inquire about having those same daily notices posted to fb...say, if an individual was so lazy he didn't check e-mail but lurked on social media all day like some 21stCentury mallrat or some such analogy...

Have a great night, all! Until next week! Stay Tuned fro SAM!
