Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

At last year's Cheese Society event, a Wisconsin maker won top honors. But I just can't find that damn cheese anywhere. Damn the electric fence!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Brian, was it Rush Creek by Uplands? It may not be the electric fence. That cheese has always been in very limited supply.
Avatar 2:34pm
Bill Mac:

No worries Mike. It's all about the music... AND the cheese!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm
Uncle Michael:

I play a lot of cheese. Read my playlist!

Little Mountain Cheese by Roelli. Alpine cheeses are not something I usually seek out, but apparently this one is really nice. Love the Uplands products, too. I can usually find them.

Bill, will you change your on-air name to "Bill Mac & Cheese"?

Brian in UK:

Wendy, had some tasty Sardinian cheeses the other week. One a Pecorino style but not too salty. One a Reggiano style and another blue. No idea of the names as I did not buy them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Roelli! I used to love their Dunbarton Blue when I was a 'monger in Fort Greene.
Brian in UK, did you know most pecorino romano is now made in Sardinia? They have more sheep than people! Just stay away from Casu Marzu. ;-)

I may adjust the pseudonym to reflect that. but only if it's appropriate.
