Peter Laughner has an awesome version of this on that Smog Veil boxset.

Little Danny:

I think the situation has gotten a bit better but at some point seemingly every major NPR outlet had a shitty blues show or two. I’d hate listen to Austin’s KUT in the early aughts before yelling and giving up after the first 15 minutes.

Hell yeah, Mike W!

It was wrong of me to pose it as a competition
I was incredibly moved by the A. Kostis song
which, for all I know, is about the dangers of picking roses without garden gloves

My brother just gave me a 12 string. Needs some TLC.

same. I meant we also have other unique inspirations for the Blues

My first notable Jimmy Reed record ( other than lousy unimpressive pressings) was a "split" w john Lee hooker on Jewel featuring Reed's Hard Working Hannah & i haven't looked back since WUTTA GUY

Mike W, super sweet of you to ask! We are OK. Kate and Bagpipe and I got away for the weekend for her bday and came back today. A friend stayed here and kept the cats alive. It was ... very, very good to be able to get out of the city for bit. Made me feel super lucky despite all the planetwide bad luck generally going down.

Also, we pitched WFMU to a volume where we could still hear the owls and then just watched the stars wheel overhead.

How are things in your corners of the world?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm
Gaylord Fields:

Hi, Matt! Hearing you play Gatemouth has got me longing to get back to NOLA, where a big hunk of my heart (and a lotta people who talk like my forebears) has set up a home.

I went through Gin in the mid-eighties until it turned on me and pretty much any hint of juniper repels me now. Vodka-o or dark beer-o for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm
Matt Fiveash:

Gaylord- let's go as soon as it's possible to do so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm
Mike W:

@Handy That sounds thoroughly swell all around. Over here things suck ass!

But I got my dog, my health, and you in my corner, so I’m doing fine.
